Spot on comments Pheno and yeah, Farrelgirl, the drum breakdown in TPD was jaw-dropping.

The show was good, really good in fact but I think part of less-than-ecstatic feeling afterwords was that this was my first NIN show since the '09 Wiltern gig and I think I built my expectations up way too high for something similar this go-round.

BTW, I posted pretty much the same comments about the show on the ETS board and several people there went ballistic over my off the cuff comment referring to Mariqueen as "Trent's wife," lol!

In fairness, Mariqueen was in a decent band prior to meeting Trent. I liked West Indian Girl.

Fair comment indeed. I tried them, and didn't get it, but my point was more that it's difficult to take her seriously as an artist when she was in a band that didn't really make any headlines over a decade ago. She quit WIG when she and TR got together, and the only thing she's done musically over the course of the last decade is be in a band with he husband and lend guest vocals to hubby's band.

It's difficult to make the comment without seeming like an oink. I'm just amused/perplexed by people going ballistic over Panda's comments given that her entire career over the last nine or so years seems to be based on the fact that she's "Trent's wife".
