This little doc made me smile.
Nicky Turner was the drummer for early UK punk band The Barracudas and later, The Lords Of The New Church. As I’ve mentioned a few times here, The Lords was one of my favorite bands in the 80’s and was really the only band that I made any effort to actually meet and hang out with, something that wasn’t too difficult between ‘85-‘87 when they were constantly playing every dive bar and club locally after they were dropped from IRS Records after their 3rd album. Although Stiv Bator was the most outgoing, accesable (and crazy) guy in the band, Turner was the most sane, level headed one. Turner left the band at the end of ‘87 and retired as a musician to work in the music industry. I kept in contact with him mostly online up through the mid 90’s but eventually lost touch. This often funny vid documents his returning to play in a little band (that also features former Cramps bassist Chopper Franklin) for some shows in Europe:

Re: Nicky Turner
That was great, really enjoyed watching it. Thanks .
Almost forgotten about Lords of the New Church, but they were pretty influential on the UK goth scene back in the mid 80’s.

Re: Nicky Turner
That was really nice. Everyone was so likable and his vulnerability was refreshing to see at such an advanced age (my age).
