I admit, I wasn't into this single at first but I'm liking it more and more. The video is ok. How many times have we seen the band on the rooftop. Josh is aping Froosh a bit but he kinda does that when I've seen video of him playing with Bob Forrest. Froosh loved Hillel and copied his style heavily on MM. Josh is doing the same although as was said already he's not the virtuoso that John is and was at that time.

I'm With You is streaming in its entirety on their official website at 3 PM EST. Heard a few preview clips on the radio, one song sounded really promising, the rest were just decent. Sounded like a lot of slow tempo stuff from what I heard.

His "look" reminds me of Hitler.

I really like the first verse, very surprised at how dark sounding it is, but the chorus is laughable

I've always been a casual RHCP fan. "Monarchy of Roses" sounds awesome.

Someone mentioned "maturity" here in regards to JA and the Chilis. We can equivocate on that word all day, but this is worth mentioning....
Josh Klinghoffer, prior to any recording, was promised equal writing credit for this album.
The Chilis have always split in equal proportion the revenues from album sales, merch, and tours....with a % going to charity.
Bad ass guys.
Best ever IMO.

Sorry, considering the context of PF, I should mention the promise was followed through on without a hiccup.

In the world of big time music integrity, the RHCP's aren't the big fish. They are the whale.

I'v listened to about 7-8 songs now and I'm pretty disappointed. The highlights for me are Raindance Maggie and Monarchy of Roses, the rest is pretty bland with an occasional interesting verse or chorus here or there

not bad at all. definitely the "red hot older peppers." it's a grower. not really blown away by any of it, but flea sounds fantastic as always.

If RHCP are the whale...Led Zeppelin is the mother fucking ocean.

The only thing that immediately bugs me is on a few tracks, usually with Flea starting off at the beginning of a tune, the levels (such as the bass) are almost clumsily dropped and raised as the band and the vox kicks in.

I'm on my second listen and I'm really liking this record. It's definitely sounding more like Flea was the big creative force on this one. Really like the tracks with the piano and there's new sounds and definite growth on this record. I think maybe I wanted to not like this record since John is gone but Josh is holding his own and to be quite honest I think AK sounds really good.
Looking forward to picking up a hard copy at my local record store on Tuesday.

Like I said earlier in the thread it was a different type of RHCP record. You can tell John is gone but its not terrible.
