Post cover songs you like here.
I'm a fan of the cover song. Sometimes they're better, sometimes worse, sometimes an interesting interpretation.
Recently I really like this one by Kurt Vile and black bananas - Before They Make Me Run(Rolling Stones)

This is great too, imo.

Bing Ji Ling – You Shook Me All Night Long (AC/DC cover)
New York City musician Quinn Luke, recording under a name that doubles as the Chinese word for “ice cream,” specializes in giving a ’60s/’70s old-school vibe to his soul-electronica. His cover of “You Shook Me All Night Long” is a masterpiece. Sounding uncannily like “Debra”-era Beck, he replaces the guitar with the clavinet and pumps out a vintage get-down groove that gives the song a whole new type of fun. No longer wearing t-shirt and jeans, “You Shook Me All Night Long” has on downtown finery, and it knows it’s looking fine.

Cool cover by Austra, I'm downloading their album now.
They're already popular, but I like FNM's covers of I Started a Joke and Easy and JA's cover of Ripple.
And those are actually the only covers that come to mind right now. Damn.

I prefer this version to the original S.O.S. Band version.

I know this is a covers' thread, but I've just heard this original for the first time, and it's pretty good.

Good cover of The Temptations song I wish It Would Rain..
It's from The Cougars a Toronto band from 1970. The song is found on the superb compilation
From: Jamaica To Toronto: Soul Funk & Reggae 1967-1974

Now here is a surprsise for me.
I always thought that Peter Tosh was the original for this song but apparently the Temptations did it first. It was never a hit for them.
I prefer the Tosh w/Jagger+Richards
