Well, not sure what that means, but ok. From what I've seen it looks closer to your bud miggy. I'll take a look and then never respond.

Your tastes are fairly opposite of what I like close to every time.

I liked it. Would I watch it again? nope. It's a sad topic for me. But for me it was more than the mental illness thing.

I know it's getting enough good press that no one needs another endorsement, but Parasite is well worth seeing:

By far the best movie I've seen this year.

I saw The Lighthouse. Pretty good movie...especially visually. Even the Twilight kid is pretty good in it.

I loved The Host, Snowpiercer not so much but still entertaining. This looks great. I believe it's coming out on home video in January.

On a whim, I grabbed the blu-ray for “Good Boys” not knowing what I was getting in to. Turns out to be one of the best comedies of the last few years. Highest recommendation.

I saw The Irishman. Best movie I have seen in a long time. Usually I can't make it through 3 plus hour movies but it didn't seem that long.

just saw Marriage Story.

Really, really good....

Driver had some really good monologues, and I normally don't like him, too keanu reevesy... :noclue:

Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson are terrific as a couple facing the awful aftermath of their relationship in Noah Baumbach’s heartfelt drama

All marriages are a mystery to outsiders, they say, and even more so to the married people themselves. In 2013, writer-director Noah Baumbach got divorced from screen star Jennifer Jason Leigh, and, until Leigh presents us with her own fictionalised movie version of their breakup (and who knows if she hasn’t considered it, or is considering it), we won’t have anything approaching the complete creative picture. Until then, here is Baumbach’s superb Marriage Story, a glorious laugh-out-loud, cry-out-loud portrait of a relationship in its death throes.

This wonderfully sweet, sad and funny film simply delivers more moment-by-moment pleasure than anything else around. It would be reductive to call it autobiographical, but it is notable how scrupulously generous his movie is to the soon-to-be-ex-wife figure, played impeccably by Scarlett Johansson. It is adroitly balanced and emotionally calibrated, although there are incidental details about who is the first to lawyer up, and a 55/45% split in the child custody arrangement. I wonder what Leigh makes of these points.

Saw The Kitchen on a plane recently. :thumb:

Very, very good. Acting, directing, story all worked and very original for a standard gangster movie.

Stunning and sad that it got such terrible reviews and box office sales........ :bs:

Didn't know Admit I posted here. He passed away last year in November or December. Man, it's sad when people around you (even online) start dying

You know there's never really been an actors who's body of work came close to Matt McConaughey's in the decade of the 20'10's
The Lincoln Lawyer
Killer Joe
Interstellar
Mud
Dallas Buyer's Club
True Detective

That's what I call having a good run

I recently had to travel and had time to see a bunch of movies. Quick rundown:

- This is England. Engaging, but quite predictable. 5/10.

- Christiane F. A bit boring, but I can definitely appreciate its value. 6/10.

- Come and See. Too lethargic for me. 4/10.

- Joker. Entertaining, for the most part. Very overhyped. Not an Oscar-worthy performance by Phoenix. 6/10.

This is England is at least a 6 out of ten. I've been wanting to watch Come and See. Everyone always has it on top of their favorite war movies to see.
