I didn't like any of the characters; terrible dialogue and pacing too. I've never read the book, so I do not know how it compares. I'm guessing pretty badly as the book was a bestseller. Emily Blunt's acting was good and Justin Theroux was nice to look at.

justin theoroux is always nice to look at

i didnt see the movie, but i HATED the book. almost couldnt get through it. also had terrible dialogue, pacing, plot, characters etc. not sure why it was so popular. gone girl had a bad ending but was far superior as a thriller. there was nothing thrilling about girl on a train
i watched it today on the plane. i liked it. i don't know if i would feel different if i made the effort to see it in a theater. :noclue:

it was somewhat predictable but overall pretty entertaining.

I'm gonna be really bummed when Patrick Stewart eventually dies.

Saw Logan a couple of days ago. Possibly the best Marvel movie I've seen, and this generation's Terminator 2. It was great. I'm gonna miss Jackman as Wolverine.

I saw the 80's movie with my little cousins when I was like 17 (they were like 8, 6 and 4 and I was more scared than them) 'IT' is Alexander SkargÄrd's kid brother Bill...

I saw Kong Skull Island this week with very low expectations (I'm a sucker for giant monster flicks) and actually enjoyed it.

Its been out a while but I heard Bone Tomahawk was good. Havent seen it yet. Budget was only around 1-2 million. Kurt Russell must work for free if he likes a script.

I want to go and see this in 3D before it comes off (I'm the same re: huge things eating people etc...)

Loads of people are going on about Ghost in the Shell. "It's like the Matrix!!"......I've never seen the Matrix :conf:

You've never seen The Matrix? Holy fuck. I remember walking into the theater without a clue about the movie and walking out thinking it was the best movie I'd ever seen. Unfortunately by now I'm sure you know what it's about so that surprise will be gone. What a shame.. still I suggest watching it asap.

Bone Tomahawk has some of the most excruciatingly violent scenes in any movie I've even seen.

Thought it was kinda meh.

Not really bad, bad, just some regular pulp whodunit.

Certainly not worth the hype

Movies I've seen lately: "T2" I really really loved it! It was nothing what I expected it to be.
"Going in Style" by the annoying Zach Braff. I actually enjoyed it since it's Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. Alan Arkin was great too. It
reminded me a bit of the original "Italian Job". Yeah, with old guys, but still very amusing.
"Guardians of the Galaxy, vol 2" This one was so damn funny. I don't know shit about the Marvel Universe, but I really enjoy this kind of
movies. And I have a huge crush on Dave Bautista

One thing I have learned about you is that you have many celebrity crushes. I think we should have a "latest Perkana celebrity crush" thread.

He's like my latest, I really didn't think much of him until I saw the last GotG...I think I have more a crush on his character
Damn, a thread for my latest crushes, that would be embarrasing enough...
At least I've passed the fangirl phase, I used to make scrapbooks and shit for my crushes when I was a teenager
