I don't know if it's just me but this song could easily be a JA song, no?

This a group from Indonesia in the late 60s to 70s.

how did you come across that?

The Horrors on facebook. They often post interesting music from all genres and styles. When I heard this song I immediately thought of JA. The singer totally sounds like PF in that tune.

Cool that Mescal has the album. I am interested to check more of their stuff.
