I remember being pretty damn crushed when I found out Perry sacked him. As great a technical musician as Chaney is, Martyn is the only one who has come close to channeling Eric's vibe.

I remember that was said a number of times, but I think it was completely unfounded, as Martyn had been healthy and sober for a good while. He got fired after the Fuji Rock festival, during which Perry said he was fucking up playing.

The linchpin seemed to be Bob Ezrin during the recording of Strays that soured Perry. He was hellbent on turning Jane's into a stadium rock act, and the only one who was vehemently against this was Martyn.

it wasn't as bad as people make it out to be, I'd way rather listen to SP than the TGEA cause the songwriting is better and there's some cool guitar playing on it too here and there

I cant remember what happened to my copy. I think I was rummaging around an old backpack a few years ago and noticed there was a shattered cd at the bottom. I was like oh yeah Satellite Party.
