NME performance
NME performance
Anyone have this - the full performance?
The first glimmer of hope. I'd love to see it again..

Re: NME performance
Didn't Perry show up looking like a bedazzled matador?
Or was that the Jazz festival?

Re: NME performance
In my remembering, Perry had a fox tail and the set wasn't very tight

Re: NME performance
They were tuned even lower than they were for NINJA. It sounded like ass. There was a pro shot vid of the first two songs that was cool to see though. It was ripped from a live stream I think.
Unfortunately though, the channel that had the audience shot footage is no longer on YouTube. This means that really good footage from the best reunion shows (la cita and el cid) are gone

Here's that pro shot footage from the NME thing. Someone just uploaded it a week ago. Title is misleading, it actually has Stop and Mountain Song. Literally have not seen this since 2008. Makes me so nostalgic. The channel has some audience shot footage too.Noonesshocking wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 8:41 pmThey were tuned even lower than they were for NINJA. It sounded like ass. If you kind of squinted, they still almost looked like Jane's Addiction.

Re: NME performance
The difference in body language between this performance and the NINJA show I saw with Eric is depressing.
Re: NME performance
I managed to sneak in to this show!
Hey Sonny!
Can you dig out my review from Xiola.org? Its an important piece of Jane's folklore!

Re: NME performance
I mean, they’re tuned down to mud, but there’s a spark. Perry is almost old Perry hip. Not the grotesque yoga Liberace he was by NIN/JA (which as a 1.0 attendee, broke my heart but forced me to accept that sometimes you can’t go home again).
And now it’s more than a decade in the rearview. What an awkward and uncomfortable compliment to the already awkward and uncomfortable process of aging.
