I love both new tunes. I wish True Love had a studio release out now so it could be the song of my summer. But I really hope when they are released they are filled out a little more. They both just seem to fall off a cliff and end. I want them to create more space and atmosphere. They need a little more space to breathe instead of just cutting off and ending.

Regardless, they all sound inspired. So great to hear Perk returning to those tribal sounds.

Love the arpeggios (I suspected that was something he would do) and chords- great to have actual guitar parts on it. Also think they trimmed the arrangement by like a minute and sort of added a new part in the middle which sounds cool.

My only two thoughts are it doesn’t need the distorted solo at the beginning and the outro doesn’t need to be loud. Otherwise it maintains the 1.0 hazy feel

Rocking hard and acting his age is a good look for PF. Said the same after seeing P4P.

He looked cooler on p4p tour though lol. He should wear a hat and a cool suit again.

Very cool Johnny-Marr type of playing. I almost wish I hadn't heard it with Josh first because I miss a little bit of the space. With that said, I'm really glad to see Dave came up with new parts.

These two songs just look right on the setlist too.

Again, is amazing.

I love everything Dave has added—I had no idea what he’s so, but hearing what he wrote — it’s like all exactly what the song needed.

I need an album

Holy shit, it's so good seeing them four performing with high standards

Hope they'll keep kettle whistle as intro and play the new songs during the whole tour

Dave’s playing on True Love is very reminiscent of Disintegration-era Cure.

I like the intro a lot - sounds like the breakdown in Trip Away.

Imminent - need to hear it more. Didn’t sound like O.G. Jane’s to me but could be because I can’t hear the bass much.

Perry - am I alone in thinking he sounds incredibly weak in all these clips? He needs to up the echo to compensate for the lack of strength.

Seeing them next week and very excited!

This was my thought too, and I think it fits very well.

I really liked Josh's initial atmospheric touch, but there's no question that there's something to be said about these 4 and what they bring to and out of each other.

Ever aince I heard the original “True Love” with Josh K, I’ve wanted to love it and hoped they would’ve changed it more…but I still hear “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover”.

Imminent sounded like an old song from the off, very bass heavy. I need another listen but it sounded good to new ears. True Love had totally lost that Men At Work similarity so they’ve def reworked it to some degree.
im outa the loop on this song but hearing them just play it....def gave me men at work vibes...mainly with Perry's flow....had to scroll thread to see if anyone else picked up on it...

I think when I first heard the live versions from the last tour it reminded me of something but I couldn’t put my finger on it, but when I heard that clip earlier today the penny dropped and I nearly posted a Paul Simon YouTube clip. I now can’t un-hear it!

FWIW, the YouTube channel that uploaded that video it the la prima estate festival. They’re playing that festival on 6/14. I guess it must be coming out sometime between now and then.

Okay, maybe Bon Jovi.

Certainly nothing like NS or Ritual.
