Hey, does anyone remember that live "TV" clip from the early days of PerryEtty of them performing an early version of that awful "Into the Twilight" song, before they reworked it to fit on the soundtrack? It was my go-to example of Perry's plunge from his former heights until it got taken down. Would love to find it again so I can relive (and share) the horror.

PS: I put the quote marks around "TV" because I think it was either basic cable or a shitty YouTube channel that also disappeared.

what i want to see...there was a youtube video shot when satellite party were doing flashmobs and i think it was one at lollapalooza that i want to see again. etty's microphone was mixed wrong and it was really loud and she was ohhhh'ing and ahhhhh'ing really off key and loud.

Makes one wonder how things would have been if Casey was still part of Perry's life- a true muse to historic music & imagery- instead of this "undulating" gold digger.

If Etty never exposed Perry to all this shitty dance music, he'd probably have put out a bunch of acoustic albums by now. Or at very least continued making PFP records.

I find it more fascinating than annoying. How has someone as great as perry 1.0 become someone who is capable of creating 'Spend Your Body'? It's bizarre.

Maybe instead of ever having good taste, Perry's all-round weirdness just happened to result in great music for a few years and now the weirdness is resulting in bad music. Or is he really that impressionable that a cool girlfriend gave him good taste and a not-cool girlfriend gave him bad taste? I can't understand it.

It's not like Mick Jagger where he was once cool and now is a cringey, older version. Perry has gone from the height of cool and credibility to the complete opposite. It's like two completely different people.
