I think that chick and the main guy in the band are a couple, and I know she's a mother, and I think he's the dad. I'm not 100% on this, but I think it's the case, and it's just not publicized so as not to muddy the image of the characters they portray in their stupid fucking band.

That's the age they expect her to be when they become grandparents.

Yeah, it's nice as far as these things go, but it ain't no theater. I don't like big places like that, so I'll probably skip it.
i used to get pissed when people that post here didn't go to a show in their home town. tickets go on sale tomorrow for the show an hour and a half away from me and i think i'm going to skip it. less than a year ago i flew to chicago to see them. i'm not sure what happened.
I wouldn't even call these last dates a leg.... Boise and Reno and maybe Portland and sort of, not really, San Francisco....... If those are their dates in the west, that's more like a protrusion, certainly not a leg.......
I assume that because Perk said in an interview that they are going to play european summer festivals...which are in June/July/August and as Dave said he is in NY in June/July (i guess because of that tattoo show) and Lolla is in August ... so that is done..
I don't believe that they will tour Europe in Autum/Winter. They are also not a fan of Europe which is no secret. Australia is on their list i am sure. Just my two cents but i am pretty done with this tour.

If you havent seen this tour and a hour and a half is no problem then go. Trust me.
I wouldnt recommend long travel or anything but if you can conveniently go to a show on this tour and don't then you're doing yourself a disservice. It's as a unique show as they've done since....Relapse? Unless you consider NINJA unique because Eric was there. His presence was so great but the show itself was a little flat.
This SF show is a festival with 35 other bands I couldn't give a crap about(outside of Pennywise) at a gigantic venue that is not even close to "SF". And i am sure tickets are ridiculous. No thank you!
1st Jane's show in the Bay Area I'll have missed since the 1st Lolla (not counting those corporate shows), and I have absolutely no desire to go... Never thought I wouldn't be at a Janes show within 100 miles from home.. Thinking of this band in it's current state makes me
The old park was a cement slab with a stage next to a state park. The sound was pretty decent for a outdoor venue facing the East River. They only had port-o-potties which sucked and only sold Brooklyn Lager which also sucked. But the view was breathtaking. Especially at sunset.
The reason they moved is because they built a luxury highrise right next to it. Bands HAS to be on stage at 8:00 pm SHARP and off by 10:30 on the nose. Neighbors complained....they moved it.
Everything that good gets ruined when people try gentrifying a area..
Mostly I agree except that the venue came along after gentrification, primarily as a way for live nation [or bowery presents...dont remember] to cash in on how hipster williamsburg already was. when my sister in law lived on kent about 10 years ago, it was already too cool for school in w'burg, but kent was still a dive. domino sugar and gretsch buildings werent condos yet. there was no new highrise construction. by the time the pool closed [and that was a great venue which sort of captured pre-hipster willy-b] and the waterfront opened, it was way gentrified already.
this place is another round of that but at the same time outdoors in brooklyn should be a nice way to see shows. i'd consider my morning jacket when they play there. better show for the summer is wilco at prospect park bandshell. it aint free but thousands will listen and picnic for free. jane's? i'm more than a little in the bman camp - i still enjoy them and they rock pretty well, but a 4th time thru town in a year with the same setlist .. this i'm not sure about.
I'm on the fence about this, but am now leaning towards going. I can't really see myself turning down a Jane's show in the NYC area, even if I'm not happy about the venue.
Plus I haven't been to a concert since March and have none lined up so I'll probably cave and by a ticket
