Like I said in the Great Escape Artist thread, I like this song less than when I heard it initially. I still love the chorus, but man the verses are just brutal melodically and lyrically. Whole thing sounds put together. I still really like the second chorus with the melodic playing the follows it.

It sounds like that because it was emailed back and forth and put together on some laptops with Protools on them more than likely. Easy to cut and paste music with that.

Dave said he wrote the music for it in the studio. He just had an acoustic guitar and a bass and a click track for tempo and 'wrote it on the spot'.
