Perry Farrell discussed his musical plans for 2014 in a new interview with the Rock It Out Blog, “I have so much music coming in 2014. I have new Porno for Pyros, we have a few songs right now written, when I go home we might write a few more. Not an entire album, although we have enough material for that. My wife Etty and I, we also do house music. I have an entire album worth of house music that is part of an immersive play called Kind Heaven, that will be out next year. Jane’s Addiction may be included in that play. I have 4 or 5 songs that I need a group to record. So it’ll either be with Jane’s Addiction or with some other amazing people.”

He added, “Within 2 years there will be new Jane’s music. I kind of life the idea of an EP though, that goes with an important project. A new super inspiring creative endeavor, and I’m hoping Jane’s will be a part of it.”

Jane's does 3 really embarrassing corporate gigs, a few embarrassing appearances (like a NASCAR event or some folk festival they don't belong at), and that really expensive BellyUp Aspen bullshit again.

Also this horseshit about "wanting to do a short rock song", in regards to Another Soulmate, is just embarrassing.

Anyone with a passing interest in the band knows that's just lies. Its 2 minutes because literally thats all that was left. All they had was 2 minutes of cohesive music. Whether it was time, attention spans, lack of interest, no chemistry, whatever.. the song was 2 minutes because that's all they could muster.

And could Perry just stop with the the constant bullshitting. Sure he's given to flights of fancy...but at his age everything is pure cringe. Albums and albums of music just waiting to be unleashed! Stage plays! Intergalactic house music that channels the earth spirits! Whatever the fuck....

Yeah that interview just hit me wrong.

I think its the new Pixies stuff. It really good, and mature and not wrapped up in embarrassing proclamation. Such a contrast in growing old and having a clue.
