Jane's Fall Club Tour

#1 Post by Pandemonium » Tue Sep 06, 2011 7:28 am

The official website just sent out a flyer to registered members with dates for what looks like a short Fall tour.

9/24 Chicago, IL Metro
9/25 Chicago, IL Metro
10/3 Los Angeles, CA TBA
10/4 Los Angeles, CA TBA
10/17 New York, NY TBA
10/18 New York, NY TBA

The Metro shows are already on sale via Janes link with Citipass:

www.citiprivatepass.com.

Also, I think the album release date's been changed again - it's listed as 10/14/11.

Nice head's up there, guys.

I got that email too.
I guess only Chi-town, LA & NYC have small clubs. The rest of you in the rest of the good ol' US of A are a shit outta luck.
Did you also notice the special "VIP" crap is through Citi private pass for citicard holders....
I guess the "camp director" had something to do with that coughcoughmorecorporateasskissingcoughcough

Depends on two things for me to go:
Price
if I am in the mood

At least Perry's voice will be well rested for the NY shows. Unless more dates are added, that's two weeks off.

well I know he'll be showing up on Sept 13th for the Road Recovery show honoring Slash (at the Best Buy Theater in TS). Perry always performs at those shows.

And it'll be a reunion with Duff

This photo kills me. Obviously from the same shoot as what ended up on the cover of Irresistible Force. Funny that Chaney never made onto the cover for the single. :hs:

For a moment it sure seemed like Chaney was a member of the band again, and then something changed. One can only imagine...

Maybe Jane's Addiction's art direction team just play it safe now and cut all of their bass players out of covers for singles.

I'm betting Chaney isn't a member this time like he was last time. He's a touring bass player. He's getting a smaller cut.

1.
THE GREAT ESCAPE ARTIST, now due out Tuesday, October 18 via Capitol.

2. Remember when i made that list of them playing only the biggest cities?

As in "World Tour *of festivals* coming soon"?
No, as in:

LA (twice)
SF
Dallas
New Orleans
Miami
Atlanta
NY
Chicago
Toronto
Moscow
Tokyo
Brisbaine

It will take them 3 weeks to complete their "world tour" where they hit only the biggest cities.

I win the game. :lolol:

It reminds me of Spinal Tap's manager: "Their appeal has simply gotten... more selective."

what possible reason is there why he should be getting an equal cut with the other three for touring? this is an easy swipe at PF because of the previous issues with his cut vis a vis the other original members, but i'd have to assume this vote, if there was one, went 3-0. cheney's got a pretty good paying gig here (and in my view he's very good) with rock star perks and all that. but as far as we know he's neither a writer or player on the bulk of the new album. (unless i missed something or what was previously reported changes before the record drops). and on tour they don't play his compositions much either. classic example of a guy getting, and earning, a smaller cut as a hired player than the original or very long time members.

it is sort of funny about the photo shoot though. they got lucky that avery was on the end of the previous one so he was so easily excised.

i'll go to the 10/3 show as long as i don't have to be a citibank member with a 3d phone contract or whatever weird promotion is going on.

From what I have heard, you have to be a citibank member with an LG 3-D phone, own a set of Cooper tires, drink Coors Light, and own every Entourage DVD set in order to get into the show.

If you bought "Applause For You" on iTunes, they'll let you replace Chris Chaney and play bass for the night.

Of all the daily swipes and jabs I see here at ANR this one made me Laugh. Out. Loud.

If that was true, Chaney will still be on bass for the shows.
