"for JANE’S ADDICTION, this will also take them back to re-play some of their early classic shows in legendary clubs. JANE’S 1988 two night stand at the Cabaret Metro for Nothing’s Shocking are still considered by many Chicagoans as some of the greatest rock club shows of all time."
I'll get tickets for both NYC shows and then I'll be checking out the chicago setlists.
maybe they'll look like this:

Whores
1%
Idiots Rule
Had A Dad
Obvious
Up The Beach
Pigs In Zen
Trip Away
Ted, Just Admit It...
Ocean Size
Mountain Song
Ain't No Right

Kettle Whistle
Obvious
Whores
Idiots Rule
Bobhaus
Pigs In Zen
Ted, Just Admit It...
Standing In The Shower... Thinking
Had A Dad
I Would For You
Ocean Size
Trip Away
Mountain Song
Chip Away
(back to back chicago setlists 1988)

But if they look like this:

Whores
Ain't No Right
Just Because
Ted, Just Admit It...
Been Caught Stealing
Irresistible Force
Up The Beach
Ocean Size
Three Days
Mountain Song
Stop!

Encore:
Jane Says

Whores
Ain't No Right
Just Because
Ted, Just Admit It...
Been Caught Stealing
End To The Lies
Up The Beach
Ocean Size
Three Days
Had A Dad
Mountain Song
Stop!

Encore:

Jane Says
(back to back nyc and australia shows - 2011)

.....my tickets are yours. just email me after chicago.

for some strange reason i have a small amount of hope that they will drag out some old songs for this run. And if they do, i'll be pretty psyched for these two shows. But if they don't - i'll go to one show, maybe. so just email me.

for the love of the band, I almost got sucker'd into paying 50 bucks for the house of blues show in NJ. Then I realized, after the cost of gas/tolls and hotel room...I could just close my eyes and remember the NYC show last month with maybe two songs added. NOT WORTH IT

Ugggh, why do I have such a love / hate relation with Jane's Addiction?

The formerly RABID teenage Jane's Addiction fanatic inside of me would be shocked,

but,

I think I'm gonna go to a Brunello di Montalcino and Barolo tasting on 10/18,

rather than see Jane's.

Jane's Addiction + 20 years of being of a fan = would rather drink fancy red wines.f

like I said, if the tickets are cheap-I'll hit ONE of the NYC shows for the fuck of it.
If it's $50 or more they can kiss my ass.

I saw Jane's in 2003 at a small club in Kansas City and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. I used to dream as a teenager that I'd see these guys reunited and in a small club one day, and if they were playing near me I'd go.

Of course back in 2001 I was more than stoked to drive to Chicago and see them in a half empty arena, and now I'm saying they're not playing near me.

I'd go if they were playing St. Louis...probably.

Well, I'd go for sure if tix were reasonable. This $50 ticket stuff is ridiculous.

Jane's in a smallish local venue for $20 and I'd go every time.

You're forgetting that this quasi-tour is meant to pimp the new album. So the odds of either of those first two setlists are zilch. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the setlists will be mostly similar to the last two, with a few more TGEA tracks tossed in.

dave is in nyc so i assume they do not have time to rehearse. i seriously doubt the setlist will change at all. it never does.

They whipped out Bobhaus at the Vibes show, I don't see why they couldn't do that for Metro (wasn't that featured on the '89 boot from that club?) :hs:

I'm kind of jealous. Great venue. I got pulled on stage by the opening act at Yeah Yeah Yeahs about 8 years ago. I remember being happy I had been on the same stage as Jane's.

I have as well.

I would just like them to play Flamingo, Emos indoors or Mohawk if they came to Austin. Those venues while small kick fucking ass. They will probably end up playing Stubbs and I will be there in the VIP (know one of the owners, thru a friend of mind who is an escort :aoa: ) but it will suck. I would rather see them at Emo's or Mohawk.

Aggrolites for 2 shows later this month which will be sick since one of the members of their crew had the same surgery as me and told me about it when I got roped into doing Warped (which BTW sucks now that I'm old).

I agree with the earlier post, if Chicago's setlist is different than the usual Jane's sans EA setlist, I'll definitely go to one of the NY shows. The more diverse the Chicago set, the more I'll be willing to fork over for a ticket. If I see standing in the shower, 1%, trip away, and kettle whistle on Chicago's setlist I'll pay up to 60 bucks for a ticket. If the standard 10 songs, ettl, if, and a jane says encore...20 bucks..maybe 30, depending on the night of the week and venue
