Re: Jane's recording again?
maybe they are doing a song for a tribute album??In the studio with @janesaddiction today. New album? New single? NOPE.
Re: Jane's recording again?
Why do I get the feeling those guitar parts are going to be sampled, only to be used in Perry's WTF Las Vegas theater extravaganzapolluzafuckmeintheface EDM event?
Re: Jane's recording again?
Maybe they've had to move all their shit into the studio because where it was before now makes way for Etty's hat collection.
Re: Jane's recording again?
It's just two pics of a guitar amp?
Dave plays guitar?
Why link that with Jane's recording?

Re: Jane's recording again?
maybe Dave has teamed up with Mariah Carey again!! Fingers crossed
Re: Jane's recording again?
Re-recording Mountain Song with Kanye West for a Coors Lite commercial?
Re: Jane's recording again?
I was thinking, what if they're re-recording some songs or even the XXX album? It's not a new album and it's not a new single (they'd probably do a Jane Says re-issue, with Been Caught Stealing and I Like'em Big as B-sides).

The second link, Dan says it's for Jane's. The first one says it's a secret session.Mescal wrote: Why link that with Jane's recording?

Re: Jane's recording again?
Maybe they're rerecording Trip Away, 1%, I Would for You, My Time, and Rock and Roll.
Re: Jane's recording again?
kettle whistle just turned 19 today.
the 20th anniversary tour next summer with a re recording of kettle whistle? the album did sell well for some reason.

Re: Jane's recording again?
Thankfully I'm 99,9% sure that's not what they're doing but if they were to re-record that song one thing would happen: They'd fuck it up completely. The tuning alone would do that. The one from 97 is perfect, leave it alone.creep wrote:kettle whistle just turned 19 today.

I'd still LOVE to know who the genius is that they worked with in the studio that threw in the samples and synths, amazing job

This thread made me have a dream about this stupid band.
In it, I saw a music video for a new single.
They had hired some hip, handsome kid to replace Chaney (but just for the video), and the music was pretty generic pop rock.
I kept thinking, "this is terrible, but super catchy. This will be a huge hit and everyone will remember the band for being some shitty pop band."

Everyone DOES remember them for being some shitty pop band.
Re: Jane's recording again?
I dunno. Most anyone I wind up discussing Janes with knows them as "those weirdos that did that stealing song with the dog bark."Six7Six7 wrote:But...Hokahey wrote:This thread made me have a dream about this stupid band.

I'm just happy when people at least remember them as weird.

I actually perked up at the idea of hearing a Kettle Whistle anniversary tour. I always thought So What was a great direction for them. The Kettle Whistle show open was awesome on the 2001 tour.
Was it just me or did Perry start sounding pretty good live again in the last few shows?
I'll see em again if they did this and added a few songs off XXX, It could practically be an all new setlist wouldn't it?
Re: Jane's recording again?
Stop it.
You're acting like anything they do is going to sound good. It doesn't matter what songs they play, Perry and the keyboard player will mangle them beyond recognition.

I can't believe they never played So What live. Dumb dumbs.
I will never, ever, pay to see this band again. If they're at a festival I'm going to anyway, I'm sure I'd check them out.
Re: Jane's recording again?
Minus the PEW PEWS, This recent show sounds great as does Perry.
