Dave plays on the new NIN EP

#1 Post by Noonesshocking » Fri Dec 23, 2016 8:29 am

This was mentioned in the NIN thread, but it's worth putting here too. Need to listen more and see if I can pick him out, but it's refreshing to hear some music related news about him.

I think I hear some of those Dave esque octave riffs behind the wall of noise at times :noclue:

You can hear him shred at 3:08 very clearly. It totally missed it the first time I heard it a few days ago. Clever mixing. Looks like Eric's been listening to it too.

I don't hear anything resembling a Dave solo, but I'm on laptop speakers right now so maybe that's the problem. What a weird song

The interesting thing is that it DOESN'T sound like Dave.

How many times has that ever been the case?

How funny would it be if Eric was supposed to be in NIN, but it ended up being Dave? :noclue:

At this point I think it would be the best thing for his career.

Dude is driving a Porsche and wearing a different Rolex every single day.

With the way Etty spends, and how long Ink Master has been going, Dave might have more money in the bank than the Farrells at this point.

It would be cool to see Dave tour with NIN, would be the most interesting thing he did musically in a long time.

But I don't think Reznor is the easiest guy to work for, so I'm not sure of Dave would be up for it. It would mean he'd have to rehearse and all that shit.

Dave played on piggy on the remix album Further down the Spiral years ago.
I'm gonna dig that out. It's been a while.

Dave does rehearse. So does Perk and Chaney.

It's Perry that doesn't show up for practice.

Keep in mind that Dave did do that Spirits in the Sky thing with Billy Corgan.

And I'll bet he doesn't have any financial advisors telling him to slow down.

dave seems to spend his money on art and watches. at least they typically hold their value. unlike spending money on vacations, shoes, handbags and pills.
