The one thing this video really indicates is that Jane's Addiction should have become a 2 guitar band a LONG time ago.
And no, this isn't my way of saying everyone needs to revisit the conversation about Pete almost joining in 1997. We know. You don't have to all talk about it for 3 pages for the 63rd time.
Anyone else find it interesting that Eric has been watching current day Jane's/Jane's related stuff on youtube? First the rebel rebel cover from last year, and now this.
It hasn't been mentioned here but apparently the Blu-ray audio is fucked up or someone wanted to save a few cents. Instead of a lossless audio track like the DTS-MA track the other two live Blu-rays have and just about *every* concert Blu-ray has, this one somehow only contains a lossy 384 Kbps Dolby Digital, the same surround track as from the DVD version.
Not sure who I feel more sorry for, the people in the crowd or the people who buy this release. Watched it on Amazon. The 3 Days drum solo part was cool. No "At this moment" intro. Synth violin in "Of Course" instead of a real violinist. Fake as Perry's current face. Lame. Couldn't help think I'd rather hear these songs sung by Scott Weiland, Chris Cornell, or Chester Bennington, but oh well.

Cant you think of anyone who would do Jane's justice thats still alive?

Mike Patton
The world's greatest vocalist would be an interesting choice. Plus we'd get to hear all the high notes in songs again.

I'd even go so far as to say that a female vocalist would be an interesting choice.
Karen O has the pipes, the energy, and the weirdness to pull it off. I'd like to see that.
Oh fuck, 67 is spot on.....Patton doing vox in Jane's would be harrowing in a really, really good way. While you're (all of you) at it, round out the rest of the best JA cover band. I think the present one has plateaued.
