Hey, I was going to suggest Iron Maiden's Steve Harris on bass and Eddie Van Halen on 2nd guitar/keyboards.Six7Six7 wrote:That sounds truly awful in my head.Pandemonium wrote:Iggy Pop - Vox

Rhythm guitar? I really like the idea of Mike Portnoy on drums. His power, intuition, and ability would bring some bright new color to the mix. Freese is great....I had never been 'disappointed' with him until I recently saw a clip of him with Sting where he couldn't come close to mimicking the Copeland magic. Guitar is hard....hard to insert someone into what I feel was a mixture of naiveté, exuberance, confusion, anger, and grief compounded by heroic amounts of heroin. Similarly the bass, sans the grief....drizzled with some books, Brahms, and Joy Division.

I saw Sting in Buenos Aires a few months ago, with Josh Freese, and I was really disappointed. I also saw Sting with Vinnie Colaiuta on his past tour, and it was a HUGE diference.SR wrote:Rhythm guitar? I really like the idea of Mike Portnoy on drums.
