Murphy was in Lions and Ghosts, a contemporaneous band with Jane's that also had members living in the Wilton House. The guys go back a ways, in other words.dannyboy wrote:How did Mike Murphy (great drummer) end up in the band?
Try PerryEtty and Satellite Party as well.dannyboy wrote:Thanks guys, I knew they originally wanted Perk to play drums but not the rest of the story. I'll try and check out Lions and Ghosts. I think they contributed a bit to the Whores book and I vaguely remember the singer wrote an article about Jane's a few years back but I've never heard their music. Since this year I finally entered the 21st century and got Wi-Fi, I''ll see if there's anything on the YouTube
I've checked out most of the bands connected in some way to Jane's and really dig most of them. My faves are;
The Bicycle Thief
Geraldine Fibbers
Fishbone
Firehose/Minutmen/Mike Watt
I'm not so keen on
Ethyl Meatplow
Thelonious Monster,
The Nymphs
