I had no idea that this cover existed. I'm just listening to it right now for the first time. What do you think?

Yep. When it went all "oontz oontz" it stopped being good.Hokahey wrote:I quite liked it until the "she sings a song" part.

I think I'm one of the few that didn't hate that song.Six7Six7 wrote:Yep. When it went all "oontz oontz" it stopped being good.Hokahey wrote:I quite liked it until the "she sings a song" part.

But thanks for posting.
I actually like the song too.Hokahey wrote:I think I'm one of the few that didn't hate that song.Six7Six7 wrote:Yep. When it went all "oontz oontz" it stopped being good.Hokahey wrote:I quite liked it until the "she sings a song" part.

I'm of the same opinion, which is why I found it interesting that Bowie was 'betting' on them by working with them. Makes me want to listen to what Bowie thought was attractive about their sound, but at the same time I have no strength to actually do it. It could've simply been one of Bowie's blunders.Mescal wrote:phenobarb_bambalam wrote:I'm a huge Placebo fan and had no idea this existed. I somewhat wish I still didn't - Brian sounds awful.

Seriously?
I think Placebo is one of the worst bands in the world (ok, I kinda like Bruise Pristine but I can't stand that Brian guy)
Hype wrote:it's a bit too faithful to the original. If I want to hear that, I'll listen to the original. I want to hear an interpretation that puts a unique spin on it. The addition of beats doesn't really do that. Brian's voice is very, very similar to Perry's, hitting the notes in very similar ways. So, a bit boring.
Ok, maybe not the worst band in the world ...Matz wrote:Worst band in the world? that's ridiculous. I'm not a huge fan but I think they have some really solid songs here and there. Billy Corgan is a fan too by the way
The guy second from the left is my doppelganger. It's creepy to look atHype wrote:I really like this, but it's a bit too faithful to the original. If I want to hear that, I'll listen to the original. This one's not my favourite style of music, but at least it's interesting:
Looks a bit like Quentin Tarantino, no?SR wrote:The guy second from the left is my doppelganger. It's creepy to look atHype wrote:I really like this, but it's a bit too faithful to the original. This guy (with the sunglasses) looks a lot like me in this pic (less so in others)
OK. I'll go with it.Mescal wrote:Looks a bit like Quentin Tarantino, no?SR wrote:The guy second from the left is my doppelganger.
