Porno For Pyros Reveal Reunion Plans

Deadline reports that Porno For Pyros will reunite as part of Perry Farrell’s new $100 million Las Vegas entertainment project Kind Heaven.

Kind Heaven will be family-friendly by day and adult at night, and no two visits will be the same. The attraction will also feature five music venues/stages, featuring Southeast Asian bands performing in the U.S. for the first time; Farrell’s Jane’s Addiction and Porno for Pyros will also perform, and other big bands will be announced later — some will be real, while others will be holographic.

"Kind Heaven represents Immersive Artistry’s unique approach to entertainment, which blends storytelling with mythology and technology for a 360-degree communal experience that thrusts the audience directly into the action," said Cary Granat, Immersive Artistry’s CEO. "Perry Farrell and Caesars Entertainment understand the raw power of combining mythology, destination, entertainment, theme and retail, which is why they are such perfect partners."

Added Ed Jones: "We’re enveloping audiences in multi-sensory experiences and transporting them to places they have never been before. It is a new transitory experience and art form, not to mention a quantum leap forward from the traditional theme park experience."

It's the same info that was in the official press release, just teased out into it's own "reunion" spin. Nonetheless, the article doesn't really provide anything different than Perry's standard I-have-future-plans speeches.

I went to Pete's wiki page yesterday to study up and found out about Venice Underground, never seen them mentioned around here. Some of the tracks are pretty cool or have cool elements to them

I remember buying the DVD when it came out. Eric plays on a track iirc.

Glad I didn't spend money on that.

I don't know, that was kind of interesting. It's really weird seeing Pete and Eric together. It's kind of ridiculous the amount of talent that Perry surrounded himself with over the years.

Always wondered how Perry felt when Pete played with Eric in the project and also with Peter Murphy.

So I was listening to Dark Matter and Dave was texting Perry a Happy Birthday wish, and, he also texted " and Yes, let's fuck up the Hollywood Bowl"...Is there a Jane's show in the works?

Maybe they're planning a farewell show.

The bass player from Perry Farrell's Satellite Party would probably be cheaper.

And then Perry Farrell's Kind Heaven could do Perry Farrell's Satellite Party material too.

I guess I like Suffer Some b/c it's a bit of a rocker. I also like Dave's guitar on it.

you and I are the only ones that like some of that Satellite Party stuff I think, or perhaps we're just the only two brave enough to admit we like it

The entire SYTBS album was good. Everybody's Friend was ok. Suffer Some was a pale comparison of what it used to be. Man, I completely forgot that was on Strays.

Oh, and Satellite Party was awful.
