dave's friend todd was filming a doc so it's probably that. unfortunately he was filming in 3d so it's probably in 3d. jane's is so cutting edge.

That would be a shame.

There is a real opportunity here to show all of the background work that went into this album.

From the sounds of it, Sitek, Navarro and Perkins played their hearts out. It would be great to get some of those recordings.

I certainly don't need another documentary like the Strays one. The sight of Ezrin coming out all dressed up like Jane's Addiction still gives me the creeps.

i hope it shows the recording of the album from the dancers perspective.

i could see them standing there "no no, you can't play it like that because we won't have time to do our stripper shimmy before we do our stripper ass shake"

From amazon.com

Deluxe edition includes a bonus 11-track live album, featuring many fan favorites. Jane's Addiction release their fourth studio album The Great Escape. Spun through a kaleidoscope of tightly wound riffs, hypnotic harmonies, booming beats, and an unmistakable howl, the record announces the beginning of the next chapter for the alternative rock torchbearers. Writing began in 2010 and by early 2011 the band entered a Los Angeles studio with producer Rich Costey, who introduced Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro and Stephen Perkins to TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek with the hopes of getting him involved somehow. After a couple of lab sessions, the chemistry was obvious. Sitek stepped into the role of songwriter and bass player for the album with Navarro, and touring bassist Chris Chaney, also sharing four-string duties. Sitek helped the band evolve their alchemy, expanding the sound even more. Farrell described Sitek's distillation of electronic textures, bombastic rock, and crazed punk to Rolling Stone magazine declaring, "He's like a scientist, and he's not afraid of making a monster."

thanks admitI .. at least we know its a live album .. i was kinda hoping for a few bonus tracks .. wouldn't that be great instead of waiting 20 years for the deluxe edition, just make it available right off the bat with cool demo versions or longer edits .. it could include embrace the darkness and another soul mate .. whatever, just for the curious listening experience since the music itself isn't that interesting ..

a live record eh? hmmm not sure if that is worth it to me considering how bad they can sound live .. i was hoping with 20 or 30 songs there might be a possible 1 or 2 that are not as bad as the first two singles

So they'll likely included the Terminal 5 LG show as the 2nd cd? Big whoop. It would be more interesting if the simply played the entire album live in a studio kind of like the Metallica "St Anger" deluxe release where Metallica played the entire album in their rehearsal space and it wound up sounding 1000X better than the actual album.

If it's not a live show from 1986-1991, they can keep it.

Here. As well as the length of the songs on disc 1. Clocks in at under 40 minutes. Pretty lame.

i'd rather have a 13 track album, than 10 new tracks and 11 live ones.

At least it's not full of remixes. Those will probably used on the singles.
