The presence of some great musicians and, of course, Visconti, is so weird. Has Perry convinced/conned all of them into working in Kind Heaven?

I don't know. 1st of all, what are binaural beats?
Binaural is a recording technique.

Pearl Jam did an album that way in 2000.

Basically, it uses 2 microphones instead of one, to create the sensation that the listener is in the room with the musician, because you can hear the "space" of the room and the way the music bounces around.

Also, those microphones are in the ears of a dummy head.

Tickets are $75.00 plus applicable charges.
Just wait till a week before the show when they start offering "2 for $15"

No one is going to this.

Balkan Bump are pretty good:

But I like this ethnic shit. It's Gogol Bordello without the Borat vocals.

I'd go to that show just for the openers.

Shoot me for even considering going to this. It just feels like it will be akin to Satellite Party, again. The press release lists big names for the album, but it will end up being Etty and some variation of goons like Carl 'the clown' Restivo.

It will be a train wreck, no doubt. I have more hope for the music release than the live show. Perry as a front man is beyond spent.

I saw Satellite Party's first show at Lolla 05 and it sounded great when Nuno and Tony Kanal were in the band.

Granted, that was 13 years ago when Perry's voice wasn't yet completely blown, and before they started doing nothing but karaoke versions of Jane’s songs.

If you want to hear it the way it's supposed to be, go to the show. Because I guarantee within 6 months they will just be a Jane's Addiction cover band.

I saw Perry-Etty do a bunch of shit at an EDM concert in 2010 or 11 or... shit I don't actually remember what year. It was karaoke, and it was so bad. That is exactly what this will be.

Oh, I know...all too well. Saw SP in June 2007 ( :tiphat: Dannyboy) and they were entertaining enough, if memory serves. Then again in October and it was a cluster....seemed like a different band. As you say, because it was. I would never claim to be a Battenberg fan, but at least he was competent, so his departure just left the warts of the band - a less than sober Perry, Etty, and The Clown Restivo. The latter show, with Perry stumbling and Etty so grossly prominent on stage really was a major turning point for me where Perry was concerned.

OK LA people. You get to be the first to experience this. Somehow they got Chaney and that Satellite Party guy to be in the "orchestra". How exactly is this an orchestra? Poor Chris...they spelled his name wrong.
Perry Farrell will debut a new solo band, the Kind Heaven Orchestra, at a Los Angeles gig later this month. He’s named the ensemble after his upcoming album, Kind Heaven, which is due out in 2019 and will be the singer’s first solo material in 18 years.

The lineup includes former Pearl Jam and Soundgarden drummer Matt Chamberlain and bassist Chris Cheney and keyboardist Matt Rohde, both of whom plays with Farrell in Jane’s Addiction and guitarist Nick Maybury, as well as Farrell’s wife, Etty, on vocals. The album will also feature appearances by Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, Dhani Harrison, the Cars’ guitarist Elliot Easton and the Foo Fighters’ drummer, Taylor Hawkins. Farrell co-produced the record with Tony Visconti (David Bowie, Morrissey).

The concert will take place at the Teragram Ballroom on November 30th as part of the first-ever Bill Graham Festival of Lights. Tickets for the gig go on sale this coming Friday at 10 a.m. PST via Ticketmaster. Dhani Harrison and Palms Station will also be on the bill.

The band will then play another Festival of Lights show at San Francisco’s Fillmore on December 2nd.

Kind Heaven is also the name of the “immersive entertainment” that Farrell plans to open in Las Vegas next year. He developed the $90 million project with Caesars Entertainment and Immersive Artistry’s Cary Granat, according to Billboard. It will feature film and holographic effects to recreate urban areas and places of worship in Thailand, Vietnam, Nepal and Hong Kong.

“I describe it as an immersive entertainment complex,” Farrell told Billboard. “It doesn’t have chairs like a traditional theater. We have stages within the complex for music and other types of entertainment, but you’re basically walking through a 90-minute show rooted in mythology and original content. When you’re within the complex, you’re free to roam around and discover hidden alleyways, visit nightclubs and eat from Hong Kong–style street food vendors. There will be improvisational actors, musicians, acrobats and comedians, combining elements of sensuality and espionage into an experience that will be a first of its kind.”

He learned absolutely nothing from the Satellite Party disaster. This sounds like the sequel.

If there was a Perry Farrell lookalike contest, I doubt he would even place

Massive backing, highly respected players, and an elite producer. None of it makes sense, at all.
