way better than Kind Heaven, and Satellite Party too...

Tom Morello is the last artist that can bring back Perry down to reality somehow

Nothing but gratitude to Tom, Perry, Etty and everyone there for showing up to support L.A. teachers and students and for creating what looked like an awesome fun moment of communal singing for everyone there.

I watched the pre superbowl foo fighters and run the jewels concert live last night on directv. It was my forst time watching a whole foo fighters show. man...they are boring. I think dave has worse stage banter than perry which is saying a lot. add to that drum solos with a rising drum set 40 ft in the air and then band intros with solos and they even let the drummer sing a couple songs. i guess i don't get their appeal.

anyway mountain song was the highlight of the show. perry sounded decent. this isn't the actual webcast but a decent audience shot.

Another item of proof that Perry only sounds decent on JA tunes when he's singing with other bands now...

With an intro like that you better be good. The crowd sounded disappointed, they probably thought Panic at the Disco was gonna run onstage.

Satellite Party and Kind Heaven say otherwise.

Perry sure gets a pretty high spot in the lineup for a band no one wants to see.

I think it's more that he only sounds decent when he's only got to perform one number (like in these guest appearances) - he can't give really give it any when he's got a whole set to do (even a typical JA 40 minutes) cos his voice won't hold out.

At first I thought that was the US Lollapalooza line-up until I didn't see Ariana Grande as a headliner. I wonder if Tool will headline since they have a new album coming out.

I saw that Foo Fighters performance live (on tv) and thought he looked and sounded like shit as usual.

That Mountain Song actually does sound good. I think it's the only one that Perry can till sing well on.

The band is in the studio right now recording it officially.

It'll be out this year if they finish soon.

Maynard only said it's not coming out in April, contradicting Danny Carey.

1. never got the foo fighters either. the kids love 'em. good cover band and can rock hard so this is a good way to see them.
2. what a great song.
3. perry performed well.

Haha, I should have been more specific with a non-Perry led band.

Pat Smear stayed out of the spotlight....despise the Foos but he has one of my all-time favorite live stage presences.

Good version
