Lorem ipsum is standard filler: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lorem_ipsum

There are programming shortcuts for just inserting it without typing/pasting it. But it's not put there by Perry's people (or I guess the record label), it's from whoever created the template they're using.

If it was a fan site I wouldn't have even bothered looking, but these sites cost $$$. Wordpress is super-easy. It would take literally one click to delete any of those default pages before sending the site live.

How dumb.. I bet Erik would have made Perry another site for free. Maybe Etty has a web designer cousin who needed work.

It's an artifact of using Wordpress. Something like 80% of the internet runs on it, but it's really got some dumb defaults and some way over-simplified features that make it annoying to get things customized in the right way. For one thing, it assumes that your site is a blog until you tell it otherwise and delete all the default blog crap. When you add a "theme", that adds a whole bunch of default pages that you then have to delete or modify. It's supposed to make setting up something professional and powerful easier, which it kind of does, but it also adds a whole bunch of stupid things that need to be caught so the site doesn't function/look like crap.
