Kind heaven the 6/7 review

Perry was on fire!!! I'm kidding.
I love Perry and I love Janes addiction so much. This however will be the last non Jane's Perry show i see.

Perry and etty were kind of drunk. old age, lack of sleep, loods, white wine, zanex..who knows. Perry is still very enthusiastic and entertaining but if the material is not good enough to stand on its own, then why bother.

Cheerfulness and pirates opened and sounded great. Then we got pets, tahitian, ocean, i would for you, and mnt as the closer. Why play 5 Jane's porno songs?? How can dan or Chaney let that happen?? Oh, and most of the other songs were embarrassing..but i love you Perry. Anyone want tickets for next Friday?

Oh, one more tidbit, the backup singers doing swim moves during Tahitian moon is worth the price of admission.

I wonder who wrote that riff? Perry? Dan didn't write it, did he? He can barely play, right?

... and you can bet the farm that Etty choreographed that... at The Fillmore SF show rehearsals she was running them all through their sad, pointless little routines to go along with the songs.

I guess, in their assbackwards world of dancers singing, why not have singers dancing (without really moving, because, you know, microphone stands)?

Watching a video in another thread, this was exactly what I thought.

I don’t know if I’ll make it home tonight. -> triangle above the head

But I know I can swim -> Wavey arms

Under the Tahitian moon -> wavey arms downwards, then big circle.

It’s the kind of coreography a 7 year old girl feels really proud of.

Ps.
After 24 hours of reflection, a few mores listens to several songs from the new album, and a couple of views of the mountain song and ocean size YouTube clips, I have decided that I will in fact honor the tickets that i bought and attend the 6/14 show after all. Perhaps that one will be the final non janes perry show I attend!

I personally feel like its gross for him to play those songs without the respective appropriate band members. Especially Porno for Pyros. Why doesn't he EVER work with Pete? I could respect this shit more with him present. Either your new shit stands on it's own or it doesn't Perry. If it doesn't, don't tour it.

He's not touring the new shit, that's what's funny.

Every new solo record is just an excuse to go sing Jane's songs with Etty instead of Jane's Addiction.

Cash in now, honeys.

That's like me saying I'll never see Van Halen again even if a bald, toothless David Lee Roth is still fronting the band.
