Kind Heaven the 6/14 review

#1 Post by bman » Fri Jun 14, 2019 9:04 pm

Hello. So i went to kind heaven 6/14 in NYC. Tonight I had the pleasure of having standing room only tickets as opposed to having a table in the far corner. Much better view tonight. I was able to see that everyone in the band besides Perry/etty was wearing the same outfit. Dan, Chaney, everyone else, all had on a black blazer with a white and black striped tee shirt beneath it. I didn't notice that last time..

A couple of other observations,..i inow everyone wants to hate on Perry, and he deserves it. But he is still a great frontman and a great performer. That is what is so fucking sad about this. He's wasted a decade trying to uplift etty. He's still got it. If he was in front of real JA it would have been great. The poor guy can't help but try and elevate etty. He was in the moment tonight, but the Perry etty show is a shit show. they played Summetime Rolls tonight. Amd etty was out front. And etty was hugging Perry at the end of the song as if to say, " thank you this is finally our song". They also played bastardized horrible versions of janes says and mountain song. Pets and tahitian too i think. Does it even matter?

Im pissed bc Perry is still an unbelievable performer and he's been ruined. And how fucking much can dan Cleary and Chris Chaney be getting paid that they can't tell him the truth.

We need to restrain bman somehow. Stop going to these shitty shows that leave you feeling empty, my dear dude. You don’t owe Perry anything anymore. You’ve given him probably thousands of dollars by now, and he doesn’t deserve to keep taking away *your* money. He’s not giving you back what you expect to receive from him. He’s basically keeping you hostage with an image of glorious moments from the past, but they are long gone. Don’t go see Perry anymore. Spend that money in a nice dinner with your wife or something (AND NOT IN A FAST-FOOD JOINT WHERE PERRY IS PLAYING).

You seem to be good-hearted, and I feel Perry takes advantage of you. Break those chains. The good Perry from the past would certainly want you to.

+1. It is easier to remember the good times for what they were than subject yourself to any more pain. Save your dough for Jane's with canes 2021.

The 17th time you've broke down bmans post line for line? This is an annual event around here, much like the thread about the first time you heard Jane's, the thread about your favorite bootlegs, and the thread about what would have happened if Pete stuck with the band in 97.

Classic bman  still going to Perry’s shitty shows expecting a better outcome but never getting it
:thumb: don’t you ever change bman!! :agree:

I could NOT justify paying City Winery prices to see crap. I learned my lesson at Irving Plaza and Satellite Party.
And that was only $20 at the time.

hysterical. Oh my lord. I have no problem with Etty being a back up dancer on stage. I quite enjoy it. But she was singing on Satellite Party. She had a Mic on Underground during the TGEA tour. Perhaps the reason that Dave and Perk said no Janes for the Kind Heaven project is that Perry insisted on her being a full member of the band? :noclue:

No but they probably would be interested in making new music. I think they told Perry they didn't want to be involved in the Album either, probably once they realized it featured duets.

Or maybe they are finished being Perry's backing band.

If they want to make music, putting instruments over top of Perry's shitty techno is doubtfully their first choice.

I think your missing my point. I bet Perry came up with this Kind Heaven theme and originally pitched it as the next JA project. I'm speculating here, but I doubt Dave and Perkins give a shit about the lyrical content. It was probably once they found out the songs mainly consisted of PEtty duets that they backed out. And if Perry has a cold I bet he'd be fine with Etty fronting the kind heaven orchestra! Sad!

Dave interested in making new music? Sure doesn't seem like it. At least Perry tries (and fails)

Dave is a graffiti artist this year.

Next year it will probably be something else.

Maybe music again in 2022 or 2023?

Here's what they should do. It'll never ever happen but here's what they should do.

Record One bloody song with Eric. Go on a farewell summer 2020 'Last Fix' tour with Eric.
Fishbone
Janes
Faith no More

Or with some other LA band from that Era.

Jane's
Chilis

Call it day.

You left out: perry divorces etty, petty goes to treatment, perry goes and finds his son yobel, perry reverses all his plastic surgery to look human once more, perry makes up with all his musicain friends whose bridges he burnt, perry learns how to play instruments and write his own songs, perry gets all the fans that gave up on him 2 decades ago and are pushing fifty to want to believe in him again, perry gets bands way bigger then him to agree to open for him (again), perry can make all his near 50 year old fan base wanna go to shows again, perry gives up edm and DJing, perry starts being honest and fair, perry gets rid of his shielding that always says "yes perry, awesome idea" no matter what dumb idea he has............

And if he did all of that he still won't be relevant

Your dream case scenario would still be a shit show

lol. I guarantee everyone on this sites goes to a farewell tour, especially if Eric is involved. They should at least do it with a good band.
