some of the better youtube comments
I think Perry's plastic surgeon removed too much edge
Yoko, please free Perry
Perry, stop this. Whatever your wife is telling you is wrong....
This song is a mess
This sucks. Sorry bro, but Ritual this is not.

His wife should probably stick to dancing too.
This is kinda sweet but She's off key or something. Pure ear bleed.

Machine Girl and Where ya Been are slightly catchy songs. They have another gig at Lolla and that's it right? Please please please say it's over.

kind heaven om the late show :conf:

what the fuck is this bullshit? This is the very first "Kind Heaven" I've heard....

Pretty and Etty look like discount versions of Sonny and Cher that got made over on an episode of "Queer Eye"

everything about it is so mishmashed it almost looks like it almost seems non-organic. Like it was created by a clunky computer algorithm where you click a button and it creates a song and a band; string orchestra in formal attire, The "West-Hollywood Gayman Choir" doing background vocals in Neiman Marcus' spring pastel collection, generic "rock band" straight from central casting (long haired dude, Mohawk dude, Chris Chaney look alike on base??)...

The song itself is horrendous. If "taking three xanex before going to a 'progressive' christian ministries prayer session" had an audio equivalent it would be this song.

Who allowed this to happen? Like... I get the entire Perry and Etty dynamic, but there are supposed to be check and balances between the things they talk about doing at brunch and those things actually getting done? Like people, actual people, were involved with this... and I don't mean the other "artists" (and I use that term loosely), I get that a gig is a gig and as long as the check clears you're good. I mean the business people. How did this get financed... booked... produced... broadcasted...

How did this happen?

My guess is that nobody dares verbalise to Perry that he’s 98% doolali.

Lollapalooza money will fund anything Perry wants to do.

Apparently.

HAHAHAHAHA wait... according to google that might be chris chaney? I originally though it might be, but Chris was always so generic and vanilla I wasn't sure... I guess I assumed he would be too good for this? I actually got pissed off for a minute and started taking screen shots... i was going to post a side by side "wtf are you talking about creep, they both have the same exact look!"

I thought he had a hot career with other musicians and doing studio work? what the fuck is he doing being involved with "kind heaven...."

It's Chris Chaney.

Dan said on Dark Matter that Chris Chaney is "the musical director of Kind Heaven"

I assume that means he is the one coordinating what everyone is playing and singing.

guess what?? I bought the album (I'm a completist, so what could I do??). Listened to it a few times in the car.. Decided it isn't much of an album. Just a bunch of songs who don't seem to have much to do with each other. Sometimes it's leaning towards getting interesting but surely the second part of the album is just rubbish......, but why the fuck do 4 or 5 of these songs spontaniously keep comming up in my mind? Why do i find myself whisteling them?? Do they have some kind of quality which I don't seem to grab rationally?? Although it's weird to admit, but in a strange way some songs are quite catchy..... Is Perry maybe a genius in a way I can't jet understand?? Or maybe this is because I hardly listen to music these days and that it's logical that the few things I listen to seem to stick??

After I listened to it the first day it came out, I admit Machine Girl kind of grew on me. Then, a mere 24 hours later, I was over it. You'll get over it too!

The tour could have been slightly interesting if perhaps Perry just stuck to his solo material. This would have been an interesting set.

Dogstar
Pirate Punk Politician
Machine Girl
Where ya Been
Hard Life Easy
Revolution Solution
Insanity Rains
Lets All Pray
Song Yet to be Sung
Admit I

No. t would have been better if the video screens they had were playing episodes of Ink master while Perry sang Let's All Pray For This World.
