In the photo with the headstock of the guitar, does anyone know why he has the bottom ends of guitar strings tucked into the nut?

Yeah, I couldn't figure out that photo either. It looks like the bottom 3 strings are somehow split in half and aren't wound on the tuners, just bent "L" shaped and threaded through the hole just for show. Visually, it doesn't make sense and seems physically impossible.

I think the only way it's possible is if they cut the ends off of other strings and slid them under when they placed those strings and tightened/tuned with them in place?

No idea why anyone would do that?

So you don't concentrate on his ever-advancing aging.

That is exactly what his tech did, easier to stay in tune that way as well

a PRS has high quality locking tuners, supposedly, maybe they're not so high quality after all

I own that exact version of that guitar ...It stays perfectly in tune with Paul Reed Smiths locking tuners even if I go nuts with the whammy bar...Not sure what’s up with this? 🤔 ..Infact Maybe as well as any of my Floyd Rose once the strings stretch?

I use two full boards of Boss effects...6 on each pedal board...1 upfront the other through the loop...Some effects sound better post gain rather than going in front...I usta use boutique pedals but eventually decided a great Boss pedal just cuts it!!! …Prince ran almost a full Boss pedal board and I love his tone!!!…What does surprise me is Dave is using JCM 900’s instead of what I consider much better Marshall 800’s Or JCM 2000’s? ...Guess they work for him?...I also prefer the 50 watt heads way more than the 100 watt versions 😀 Different strokes Different folks!!! ♥️☮️
