Additional notes: While on tour in the UK, the band took a moment to record a Grateful Dead song for the tribute/benefit album, Deadicated. The session, done at The Kinks' recording studio, was the last time Eric Avery recorded with Jane's before the September 1991 break up.
Don't think I've ever seen or heard of a 12" release (official or promo). There's a promo 7" b/w the Los Lobos track from the record and a double LP of the original Deadication album.

Assume he meant that 2x..12
Which aligns with what I said, a double LP release. 12" in vinyl lingo refers to a single of that vinyl size, not an LP (which is standardized at 12" already). There's 12"s, for instance, for "Three Days/Stop," "Classic Girl," and "Been Caught Stealing."
God dammit, I've been into XXX Jane's and this heavily lately....
One of the best tracks they ever recorded..... Maybe it's just nostalgia....or the urge for something familiar, as of late.......
Jerry G and Bob said this was their favorite Deadicated track, and Bob dropped the chewing gum out of his mouth when he first heard it...I think he liked it better than their own recording......
Another interesting tidbit....I guess Stephens brother was a tech with the dead and is the one who got them to allow Jane's to do the track....
I still listen to this semi regularly. 1000x better than the original. One of my favorite Jane's recordings, cover or not.
A rare instance where the cover is better than the original. Jane's was so great during their original incarnation that you could make this argument with some of their other covers during this time as well (IE: Sympathy, Rock N Roll).
