i'm not one of the many that have already declared that this album will suck before thay hear it but i'm not excited to hear this at all. if they delayed another month i wouldn't care. it's sort of weird that i don't care. i remember being really excited for strays and even for satellite party. something has changed. what would still get me excited is for a proshot video to surface of 85-91 jane's.

A friend of mine and I sometimes get advances. Lots of industry people in Austin and if that fails there are a couple of local indie record stores that hook it up and give out a couple of free ones early as well.

I hear ya, creep. I'm actually really eager to hear the album...not that I am convinced that it is going to be good. I'm more leaning to it being mediocre...but for whatever reason, the suspense is killing me.

Of course, I'd much rather have an official pro-shot DVD of 85-91; I'd buy that without hesitation. I will download TGEA and see if it is worth paying for.

I'd rather hear this album than have another painful reminder of how great these guys used to be.

I'm very eager to hear it after having IF grow on me as it did. I'm not expecting greatness, but IF proves to me that the band can finally show glimpses of what made it great the way it couldn't on Strays. I'll take IF instrumentally over anything on Strays without hesitation. IIt SOUNDS like Jane's Addiction until Perry starts in with the kooky space stuff. Maybe, just maybe, there's a song on there that's as good as IF musically AND has great lyrics/vocals. If that happens I'll be thrilled.

Well put. It's too big of a song. It sounds nothing like what I want to hear from them. Same with ETTL. I like ETTL better, but it's still not what I'm looking for. I always liked the hyperleaked ending to True Nature. I'd take a whole album that sounds like that ending.

When the length of each song was posted, I lost the rest of what little interest I had in hearing this.

I'm sure it'll happen eventually, but I'm not about to search all over the internet for a leak and I'm damn sure not going to go out and buy it.
