I would go to this if I lived in the area. Tickets $35

The GRAMMY Museum will welcome Perry Farrell for a special conversation moderated by Scott Goldman, followed by a performance. As a founding member of seminal alternative bands like Jane’s Addiction, Porno For Pyros, and his subsequent solo career, Perry Farrell has been at the forefront of music, culture and festivals for over 30 years, and his constantly evolving sound has inspired generations of musicians. As the visionary behind Lollapalooza, Farrell set the standard for experiential music festivals, and as an activist, he channels his passion for the environment, politics, and spirituality into numerous causes.

In 2019, Perry formed The Kind Heaven Orchestra with his wife, muse, and creative partner, Etty Lau Farrell, and together they released the critically acclaimed ( :hehe: )album Kind Heaven as a cross-genre experience. Rolling Stone called it a “mind-bending audio hallucination,” and Spin described it as “a collaborative project that blends doo-wop, angsty rock, sensual grooves, and electronic musings into a politically-charged assortment of love songs for the modern human.” Taking the album on the road, Perry and Etty Lau Farrell put together an incredible nine-piece ensemble and performed intimate club dates in the U.S. and Europe. In 2019, they also performed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The Kind Heaven Orchestra is set to perform exciting showcases this spring 2020, including performances at the Lollapalozza held in Chile, Argentina, and Brazil.

Did they actually release a Kind Heaven album? I think I missed that. Or maybe I just forgot

I think they released it as Perry Farrell - Kind Heaven. It’s not a Kind Heaven eponymous album, but like the eleventh worthless Perry Farrell album.

I think he's obligated to add that in there, sounds like part of a prenuptial agreement.

The last time he ran Lollapalooza, in 2004, it got canceled due to poor ticket sales.

C3 has owned Lollapalooza, in it's successful run, since 2005.

I'd love to know what Perry's involvement with Lollapalooza is these days.. besides maybe like trying to get PerEtty on a side stage if there's an opening. Maybe he does fundraising or something.

A minority partner.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/music/artis ... -business/
Perry Farrell is now merely a minority shareholder, and the festival has not toured regularly for more than 20 years.
And LiveNation now owns the majority stake in C3.

https://consequenceofsound.net/2014/12/ ... -presents/
Live Nation Entertainment has officially closed a deal to obtain a controlling interest in C3 Presents, the promoter behind Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and several other prominent music festivals.

OK you guys inched the line into 2003.

So let's just say he disappeared from relevance in 2004 then. :thumb:

What?

Dude stopped writing hits in 2003 and stopping running Lollapalooza in 2004.

So based on this quote:
Perry Farrell has been at the forefront of music, culture and festivals for over 30 years
He must have filled the last 16 years being at the forefront of culture.

I check in on ANR to see what people were saying about RHCP and Jane's playing together at that fundraiser and I find Six7Six7 is still talking about the man he hates, Perry Farrell, on a regular basis. Was weird then, still weird now. If you hate the guy, don't spend so much of your time talking about him. Perry probably checks in on the board every once in a while and laughs about how he's still got his haters following his every step.

The Great Escape Artist was a hit I mean it was number 12 on the billboard charts. The album cover really held it back

Who hasn't been there, you're up way to late so you attempt to sober up by going into the bathroom and splashing water on your face

It was between ok and dumb...... but lots of OG Jane's was "dumb"- still loved it......... I left after about 2 minutes out of boredom.:noclue:

But then I saw the link to this......

:worship:
Oh....this gave me chills again..... remember coming out of my skin when I realized I was going to be able to see Jane's.
