Pretty crazy. It's really unbelievable how these vaccines have changed things si quickly.

I noticed a lot of bands are ready to resume touring in the next few months. I'm still cautious about it.

Should be a good Fall. 3 Wilco shows and a Jane's show so far lined up for me.

I have tickets to GnR in July that was rescheduled from last year. I thought for sure they'd reschedule again but maybe not. I also bought tickets for Dino Jr in September hoping things would be better by then.

I think it's going to be messy this Summer with a (US) vaccination percentage still far below herd immunity. Individual states are going to have different rules especially for venue limits and events requiring "proof" of vaccination or negative covid tests and maybe masks for entry is going to be a clusterfuck.

Everything feels like it's basically going back to normal very quickly. Unless numbers get bad, I think we're at the end point for restrictions. If you don't have a vaccine yet in the US, you better be under 12, otherwise you have no excuse.

Lineup announcement comes tomorrow. Full vaccination or a negative test within 24 hours required for attendance.

Pretty generic/boring lineup. But I'm guessing it wasn't easy to get acts committed this year.

It's almost like they knew the exact acts to make me opt for a painful, torturous death

What's striking is that there are not a lot of true headliners, the ones that attract real big crowds.

Just a lot of bands. So to be able to appeal to as many people as possible

Is this because of corona, or just of how music/Festivals is/are evolving?

Yes, better line up for us, born in the 70/80's.

I like them and would go see them: but Faith No More, Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins etc all had their heyday over 20 years ago (more like 25 years ago) ...
