It was kind of funny because me and my friend were smoking and drinking in the grass parking lot before the show. It was still broad daylight and we could hear Flaming Lips from outside the venue so we knew when to go inside.
The security guy at the door was like you just missed the entire opening band because you were out here getting high. Tickets were only about 15 dollars.
The funny part was on the way in I bought a bootleg t-shirt from some random dude and undercover cops stopped me to ask if he was trying to sell anything else.
The shirt was black with the first pfp cover and I washed it maybe twice and it disintegrated.

Wow, that was about 30 years ago! I went the SF shows, on that same tour w/ Flaming Lips. I think about the shows a lot, but I haven’t thought about the actual time passed, in a while…

I bought the shirt, with the city burning, on it. Wore it until about 10 years ago, maybe?

Yeah sometimes I wonder if people like Perry or any musician who toured a lot remembers specific shows.

That happened, one time when I saw Flaming Lips, in Florida. It was 2006, I think? I chatted with Steven, for just a couple minutes. I mentioned a show I had seen, in Pali Alto, a little while after the PFP tour, like 1993-1994? He said he remembered it? I don’t know…?

Way back in the early nineties I remember Howard Stern had Ozzy on as a guest and a fan called in when they were taking calls.
She was like that was me from such and such date in Idaho or somewhere who yelled out I love you Ozzy! Do you remember that?
Ozzy was like yeah I do remember you and he sounded so convincing. So I never knew if these guys had some kind
of idiot savant memory when theyre playing live shows or if it's all just a giant blur.

Looks like no Nick Maybury on second guitar for these gigs. Matt Rohde will be on keys (he’s already the “pew pew” guy in JA behind the amps). Gleaning this from Dan’s Instagram.

Listening to some P4P, and i gotta tell ya, they were insanely underrated. People were disappointed it wasn't Jane's, and the band just never got their due. Once again, I'll lament that there was never a combining of the bands. Especially when Martyn joined Jane's. They should have also added Pete and played both bands catalogs. Then again, that wouldn't have fit with their desire to finally become the big time rawk band they decided they so badly wanted to be.

But fuck. What a legacy they could have had. And Hard Charger could have become a beloved staple of their set lists.

Found a short video clip of Pfp at Watermans in 2015 7 years ago. They had Trujillo on bass!!! and still did nothing with the band after that. 7 years went by without pfp more of cash-in fake Jane's 2.0 and Ettyperry's waste.

I think the guy holding back there return was the drummer. In that photo there isn't the Porno For Pyros logo on the kick drum or any other recent photos. If they were gonna play more than 3 shows I think the logo would return on his kit. He's been posting stuff recently on his twitter about him and Dave and Jane's Addiction when you would expect his posts about Porno For Pyros. I want to be wrong about this.

I have an extra GA ticket for the LA show on July 7th if anyone is looking to cop one at cost, $53 (32.50 + $5 Order Processing Fee + 2.50 Facility Charge + $13 Service Fee).

Anyone here ever been to The Belasco? Martyn said to someone on social that they were going on at 10:30 or so. Thinking of arriving at 9:45 to 10. I can't imagine that it'll take more than1/2 hour to park and make it to GA. Kinda over standing for hours waiting for a show, but I really don't want to miss a note.
