Don't get excited. Avery ain't coming back.
I'm not saying he's coming back, but if Perry can reconcile with Martyn, he can reconcile with Eric.

Maybe it’s long haul covid, but Dave seems ( based on his social media ) to be going out and no about.

Something feels off about everything.

That's the official line on why he's out. But his Instagram doesn't paint the picture of a guy that can't play a one off at Lollapalooza.

Long covid aka Dave would rather spend time with a girl who he is old enough to be the father to than play fucking Mountain Song for the 11 billionth time.

They’ve been cool since at least 2020 when Perry said they were friends again.

If Chris is really out, I don’t think anyone has an appetite to bring out yet another bass player. I have to imagine both Chris and Dave are struggling hard with Taylor’s passing, so I think Billy would be cool with Porno stepping in.

Tour starts in what 3 months?

That’s enough time to get their shit together — but it’s so strange

I knew something was off when Chaney didn’t do the Howard Stern thing.

Apparently they didn't reconcile until after they played that show with Watt, not long ago. It's very recent.

My bad I meant Perry and Eric- it seems to me like between that interview from 2020 and the decon sub stack piece they have at least come to some sort of understanding. Dave even tagged him in a post the other day so they must all be cool with each other

I forgot all about that decon thing. Someone should post the juicy bits now that it's been out for awhile.

Eric follows the JA insta account now… that is very interesting.

Also I went to see RATM at MSG last night. During soundcheck Tim Commerford’s bass tech played mountain song and the crowd went bananas. Imagine if Eric played it…

Eric following the JA profile, which is now only posting content involving him (aside from the profile pic). Lotta smoke here guys.

If this is bad faith bait and switch marketing from JA, then shame on them. But don’t you think Eric might’ve cleared the air on it by now?

Free Smashing Pumpkins show at Irving Plaza. Maybe JA will do something similar??
Ahead of their fall arena tour with Jane’s Addiction, the Smashing Pumpkins are planning an “intimate club performance” at Irving Plaza in New York on September 22. The show will be done in partnership with Audacy, ALT 92.3, Live Nation, Thirty Tigers, and Red Light Management, and offers an early look at what’s in store for said arena dates, which kick off in October. Maybe the band will play some new songs on the forthcoming follow-up to 2020’s Cyr, who knows?
Anyway, the September 22 gig is a free show, but you have to enter via ALT 92.3, who will start giving out passes starting September 6. Find more show info here.

SP just announced some details to their 33 track “sequel” album to Mellon Collie and Machina. New single drops tonight.

Perhaps new Jane’s music will follow before the tour starts. When they unduly unleashed “Another Soulmate” onto us poor listeners, it was mid tour.

So we're 1 week away from this tour kickoff. Anyone going to the show in Dallas? I guess since we don't exist in the dark ages anymore, setlist.fm can give us a setlist if nobody here goes.

I’m not going. But aside from here, I’ll be lurking social media sites and groups for pics, video, etc. Curious about merch.

It remains odd to me how little communication there is from the Janes camp.

Yes, tour starts in less than a week!

Dave continues to post his grafitti pics and art he likes.

Also, tomorrow is the 2nd tribute for Taylor Hawkins in LA, nothing on that front too.

The only positive explanation i can come up with is that Eric stipulated some level of mystery and silence. That seems his style.

I guess the tour has sold well enough that they don’t feel the need to promote?

As long as the Janes account keeps tagging Dave in content, I would hope all four are on stage next week but the fact the nothing has been explicitly stated leaves me feeling that a replacement player could still be a possibility

The real answer is: it's the Smashing Pumpkins' tour, and JA are just tagging along for the ride to maybe help fill out seats (= "Very Special Guests").

Perry gave an interview previously where he said they had the exact same budget as the pumpkins for the stage. And then they bring Eric back in the fold. It's very weird that they're not talking about anything.

It most definitely is! Appearances on late night talk shows to perform a couple of their new singles, an announcement of a new album- a 33 song rock opera!

Meanwhile, we ANRers are drooling for the possibility of 1 new song.

There is a very strong possibility that one new song from JA with Eric will be better than all 33 songson the new pumpkins album- the music video for the new sp song is… interesting lol
