I was thinking about that. You have to assume that will be revisited. Eric had a lot of interesting ideas for modern Jane's. Hopefully we'll finally get to see the band do interesting things again.

Well son of a bitch. Scrolling through Facebook and seeing Eric and Perry together makes me really happy. I truly hope some of the original spirit of the band can be salvaged for a tour or even an album. I guess I'll be going to the St. Louis show after all. After seeing the Lolla P4P stream, I'm really excited to see something from them as well. I'm not sure what got into Perry, but better late than never.

I couldn't agree more. I feel like when we saw them at Lolla in 03 I really quit giving a shit about the band. 09 was nice to see but it didn't live up to my expectations. I'm hoping for the best. Better get that Sonics jersey out of storage!

I can’t stop thinking about this.

I don’t believe we ever saw studio images of the NINJA sessions — so my thinking is they must feel pretty confident with how things are going.

The Jane’s cancelations this summer felt weird and the Pumpkins tour announcement was off and strange too — I have to assume Eric being back somehow fits into why plans changed and or morphed.

Also this could all mean some type of release timed with the tour. I suspect 1-3 songs?

More thoughts:

A reunited Jane’s Addiction feels bigger than Pumpkins with whoever is in the band now.

I have a conspiracy theory that JA and RHCP a we’re gonna tour together as both groups were reunited — I can still see that still happening.

There were quite a few pics of them in Trent’s Studio. I remember all of us freaking out on Xiola, but I don’t remember feeling optimistic that we would hear anything new then.

His return absolutely changes the feel of this tour considerably and this is the most important tour the Pumpkins have done since their reunion in 2007. I’m not sure when Eric got involved, but now I really think they will sell out a lot of the venues, especially with that 4 tickets for 80 dollars deal.

Yeah when Frusciante returned and played with Janes in 2020, we were all speculating about a tour. This is an extremely real possibility a few years from now.

I saw Eric's story on Instagram and glancingly thought, "Huh, wonder what Eric and Fred Sablan are recording in that video...", before and loudly audible What The Fuck slipped out next my 5 year old.
