I don't think it is entirely though. Before members started mentioning Dave's conspicuous absence and detachment from JA activity things seemed off. An intentional trolling campaign organized by Dave seems unlikely to me, but it does appear to be working; we are talking and speculating and generating low- key Dave buzz..

Idk what to think- the Janes account shared a pic of Dave yesterday, he in their profile pic but he doesn’t acknowledge anything…

He did share stories of himself recording back in the summer and I’m thinking he may have already added his parts to some songs

Tour is seemingly going to happen and feels like one of two things will occur:

Dave is there, no big deal we 30 people scratch our heads and enjoy reunion and maybe some new tunes.

Dave ISN'T at there, and it’s Pete or Gilby or whoever—they say he’s not out of band but sick or whatever and they tour it’s fun but weird. They may even debut new songs without Dave but say Dave was part of the writing. Extra weird.

WEIRD OTHER POTENTIAL SITUATION:

Eric said there were 7 ideas and hopefully they become something. What if the “hopefully” hinges on Dave contributing.

I know Perry said they have 3 — and maybe that’s true, but Perry math could be “we have 3 sounds …when Dave adds his parts”

The day Eric posted the insta post I bought 2 tickets. Skipped the last few NY Jane’s appearances. I’m not a fan of any SP, pumpkins or parties. My biggest hope, with what’s been covered in the Dave thread, is that this reunion wasn’t born from a diagnoses. I’m going with its not, Perry made shit right with Martyn and now Eric. We all know the integrity Eric brings. I anticipate this to be the reunion we thought we were getting in 2009. Not a cover of Whores but real studio song(s).

I can see his pic, but for some reason you can’t search him. I noticed the same thing happened when Eric liked a few Jane’s posts last month. Couldn’t search him in the likes.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Gilby fills in and they say Dave is still in the band but “getting well” or whatever. Crazy that we are still speculating two weeks out.

Yes, but *with Pete* there too. Gilby himself said that Dave and him are two different types of guitar players, so I don't see that.
