Another posts by Dave with his depressive graffiti art street, and Pink Floyd as his favorite band.

No comments, tags or links about Eric comeback, Eric Perry and Perk in studio, or the upcoming Janes tour, nothing.
Unreal situation.

We might be the only ones who care about David Navarro. One of you guys out there in Los Angeles should drive over to his place and check up on him.

Do any of you guys have the video when Dave was on mtv cribs? It was cool seeing his spread.

At this point in Jane’s “career” I would be more than happy to have Pete on guitar. Why not?

Pete can't learn all those songs so quickly. I was surprised Perry knew all the lyrics to When the Levee Breaks.

I'd suspect Pete knows every note.

This.

And even if he didn’t, he’s a professional musician; this is the kind of shit they are accustomed to. When Matt Cameron joined Pearl Jam, learned like 70 of their songs just shy of a couple months before going on tour with them. Plus, Jane’s Addiction are “special guests…so this sadly isn’t necessarily a co-headlining spot where Jane’s is up there for over 90mins; they may only get an hour. Regardless, they don’t have that many songs in their catalogue. If Peter didn’t know any of their songs (I suspect he likely already knows all of them), he’s likely have to learn 12 at the most…and they’d probably throw in a couple of Porno For Pyros “covers”.

Dave plays on this otherwise turgid new Ozzy song "God Only Knows" off the just released "Patient Number 9" album which features a bunch of guest guitarists like Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Mike McCready, Tony Iommi and Zakk Wylde.

...and to make it even more bizarre, here's Chris Cheney on bass for Ozzy's short halftime set at the Rams' halftime show at SoFi stadium:

I’m sure that was tracked a while ago. Super throwaway solo.

The album itself is quasi-interesting primarily because of the last-leg boomer guitarists who guest. But it’s so goddamn compressed I got a nosebleed by the third track.

But hey, he got that delusional crankypants Clapton to step on a wah again. Sounds like Slash with a concussion. I kid Clapton because I... ah, nuts, let’s just forget I brought him up.

Oh, and it’s absolutely ludicrous that Ozzy Ozbourne has the sole songwriting credit on 95% of the songs on his 13-track new album. I wonder how much moolah Andrew Watt got for accepting a work-for-hire contract (which probably has backend producer points, but still)? I guess by now, everyone knows Sharon is mercenary and Ozzy probably wouldn’t be here without her.

That’s definitely Sharon’s doing for sure. I don’t understand how Andrew Watt has so much influence now. He is seemingly well connected with everyone in the alternative world despite working with Justin Bieber among other pop artists

I don’t get it, either; it’s truly perplexing. Eddie Vedder wants him to produce the next Pearl Jam album. He produced Vedder’s latest solo album…the songs range from heartfelt latter era Pearl Jam to uninspired corny dog turds.

This one is the funniest. A duet with Elton John that sounds like it was recorded for an unaired episode of South Park. Picture Cartman singing along with them to this crap :lolol: :jasper:

I was wrong about the song credits. Wikipedia is not the repository of record for publishing data, lol. Spotify has proper credits.

Dave’s appearance is pretty uninspired either way.

I can’t tell if we should continue our concern or if he or someone in his camp have read our posts and he’s now trolling. :noclue:

In three weeks, we may have a slightly better idea of what the fuck is going on because that’s when the tour starts. We’re closing in now.

I had the same thought. Dave could have seen this on here, laughed at how silly we were, and just played into it.

A bit of mystery isn’t a bad thing! Jane’s used to have loads until the internet ruined everything!

Dave had a story where he was in a car yesterday. NOT at Jane’s Addiction rehearsal. Pete playing guitar confirmed?

:aoa:

What if Dave was in studio with the band, rehearsing and recording new music, and the band makes fun of us with the misterious absence of Dave

There is no Jane's Addiction without Dave Navarro.. come on people.

I honestly think Dave is playing his cards close to his chest because he KNOWS the creative relationship between Perry and Eric has always been fraught. It could always fall apart at any minute.. (part of the reason it was great in the first place) Like It has in the past. So he's keeping his expectations in check till something actually materialises. Who knows tho...?

Still - I'm excited to hear what new music they write, and looking for to new live shows. (never thought I'd say that again)

I mean, let's be honest. It hasn't been Jane's Addiction for at least 20 years.

And with how robotic Dave's playing has become I'm not sure I would be upset if Pete was playing in his place. It would also probably mean getting to hear some porno for pyros live.
