I missed this info I guess a couple months back. It appears that Perry has his a label now, which I read in the recently shared NME article talking about recording and so on (see ERIC IS BACK thread). At any rate, he said that this label is the vehicle for the new music, and the first release was back in July, Etty's "He's a Rebel" (Pink Panda Mix), which was also shared here--roundly and rightly dismissed as trash. The article says that the label's focus is dance/electronica stuff, so not sure how Jane's and Porno fit in. Kind Heaven, I suppose, makes sense being relegated to a vanity label.

Such a creative name.

It would be nice if he got the licensing rights to reissue the first Jane’s album, seeing as Warner or whoever the hell owns it is doing fuck all with it.

BTW, Etty has 29 subscribers to her YouTube channel. Let that sink in.

Perry could use the label as bridge to negotiate terms for licensing the new material, use more bespoke label services / distribution models instead of having all the eggs with one company. But then, they are from the 'old days'.

I bet most of the band are clued up enough about the industry to think differently with regard to releasing, if they wanted to. Does anyone know if Jane's still has contractual obligations to Capitol?
