Eric just posted a pic of him and a group outside Hotel Chelsea in NY. I'm guessing it's from last night? Either way, odd he'd post that without mentioning anything going on.
Yeah, saw that and thought it was odd. Didn't he OD there back in 90 or 91?

Yeah - he and Perry were bantering (wild I know) onstage at MSG and he mentioned that.

I know its selfish, but this band loves to break my heart. Hope whatever injury it is, they can get back to playing soon.

I listened to a very rough recording of the NYC show and Perry and the band were fantastic!! ..I’m thinking Perry just pushed himself a bit hard and with everything else going on? Woke up with no voice? ..He really been reaching deep to give his everything? No going through the motions this time!! ..Other than that? What injuries would stop that train from rolling? 🤔 Stephens wrist? ..A visit from Doctor Robert and a steroid shot will do the trick!! ♥️☮️♥️ There are a few places where it’s balls out magical .. Madison Square Garden .. Los Angeles .. San Francisco ..Those places are absolutely give everything you have!!! Lay it all out!! ♥️

I think it's pretty crazy that they've had no further update, especially with another show tonight. If I was traveling for the show just to see Jane's that would be pretty frustrating.

This. PR is definitely not this band’s strong suit. After everything that’s gone on with the vagueness around Dave and making his absence announcement on the eve of the tour, they really need to do the fans a solid and be transparent at this time.

One more reason why I’m glad I sold my tickets for this Monday’s show in Toronto. Way too much instability, despite how exciting these recent shows have been.

I'm guessing this is all being dictated by their management which is doing a poor job with all of it.

I can’t imagine they can act unilaterally as it impacts SP. Billy must be losing his shit as well as SP management/promoters

Hypothetically, let’s say Jane’s drops out of the tour. I wonder what would happen. Given it’s not a co-headlining tour, but they are a “special guest” of legendary status among the Gen X “alt rock” scene that SP caters to…would they be replaced by an artist of similar status? Would SP just extend their live sets? If Eric is the issue, would Martyn and Pete slide in and have Porno as the replacement act? Or Jane’s performs with a different guitarist and bassist? So many questions.

Always drama with this band.

100%. I think the fans would be more kind and understanding many things... if explained correctly. It's basic PR. We're all humans and can have our problems.
Many bands had even more lineup changes, but stay solid and fans are loyal to that. Why? Thanks to that PR with the fan in mind.

Someone on Facebook called the venue who said Jane's has canceled for tonight and an announcement is imminent.

I wonder if the silence from yesterday until whenever the announcement comes today is because they're figuring out if they're dropping off the tour entirely.

The injury thing also seems like a cover considering there's been nothing from anyone in the band saying "hey I hurt my foot but hoping to blah blah.."

Wow! Unbelievable that the Jane’s camp have not made a public announcement about it. Shame. :essence:

No doubt in my mind they are dropping off the tour. I’m expecting really bad news about the injury or whatever has happened.

It must be pretty serious and one of the band members if they have to cancel again. It’s a shame- this tour had weird vibes from the get go.

Sucks too because they were helping fill seats and people were leaving before pumpkins came on

Maybe they should just drop off and recalibrate for next year with the full lineup.

On the plus side I tailgated the Phillies game and we won

I've been poking around social media, reddit, etc and the general consensus from people who supposedly know is that it's Perry. One person is saying it's a pinched nerve.

Someone asked security at the venue last night and one said that someone in the band got Covid, and another said Flea hurt himself during sound check.

As you guys have been saying, the problem is communication in a timely manner. Stuff happens, most people will understand. Recently, a few artists have cancelled for reasons like exhaustion, depression, and losing money. As disappointing as it may be, just be honest with the fans, ffs!

Yes! Others have performed injured also. They adapted by modifying what they normally do. Sit instead of stand, etc.

Ahahahahahah.

Glad i have waited until the last possible minute to buy a ticket to st louis. SP put on a great show in 2019 but I am less thrilled to see them now. The new stuff is average but they are not rocking like a band with three guitars, JC and jack bates ought to be able to rock. Im dumbfounded.

I saw the “reunion” tour in 2018 when they only performed material from the classic lineup (1991-2000); it was stellar! But I have no interest in seeing them now; especially given the recent crap music that Billy is trying push. Maybe I just don’t “get it”. :noclue:

Perry has recently had neck/spine issues. hopefully it's nothing serious.

A show where Perry sat on a stool and sang quietly the whole time might actually be interesting. Like something Bowie or Dylan or Cohen would do.

Doors in less than 4 hours and still nothing except the venue confirming for people that call.

It's sad reading all of the people on Twitter talking about not knowing Jane's even canceled last night and only finding out during the show. And with no major announcement today, how many more people are going to be affected tonight?
