It’s very our lady peace. The drummer did a good job here- better than most that try to tackle itPandemonium wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 6:59 pmYeesh, it's like "hey, sorry no Janes tonight but here, let us rub salt in the wound by playing a tuned down, off key, turgid version of one of their hits as a tribute."

Re: Official Spirits On Fire tour thread
He says the crew was called into the production office the day of the Philly show and were told they were all going to be flying home the following morning due to Perry's "injury" (still extremely vague). Sounds like he was at least initially in the dark like us about what actually happened, and thought they weren't going to rejoin the tour.
Also mentioned that Eric let his bass tech go. So now Dan will be teching for him instead of Troy, and Troy will be using his tech from The Damned tour earlier this year.

Re: Official Spirits On Fire tour thread
All of the ambiguity and this “injury” being shrouded in mystery…how bad or embarrassing could this be?!
I mean, c’mon…isn’t this vagueness just confirmation that Etty fucks Perry with a strap on from time to time? Didn’t we all deep down already figure this was the case?

Re: Official Spirits On Fire tour thread
So Dan and Eric had no clue what was going on until they showed up in Philadelphia? So Perry and Etty are totally different in charge. Did something happen on the bus to Philadelphia?

I'm still not going to believe they're back on the tour until they take the stage.

Next Tuesday we'll see em together and all will be well

Tickemasterbators gave me a full refund! Seems as though you had the magic text.
I'm still out $282 for a hotel room though. But the $1,100 for the tickets is nice to have back (can't believe I paid that much when they first went on sale, especially since they are so much cheaper now...the show is only about 60-70% sold).
Re: Official Spirits On Fire tour thread
The injury sounds so suspect.
If they weren’t saying ITS AN INJURY, all evidence would point to an overdose or something.
Injuries you just talk about. De La Rocha mentioned the next day he hurt his leg but show had to to go on.
Fascinated to see if Tuesday happens

Looks like Etty & Perry are still in New York. Maybe too much partying after the MSG show...
I just saw this pic posted on Etty's Instagram

I vote this. I mean, NYC or LA are sort of the pinnacle cities.....so to go from a really good NYC show, maybe seeing friends or spending time in great museums.....to go to Philly (not a knock, I love Philly) is a letdown.
Dave Grohl broke his leg on stage and KEPT PLAYING.

A broken leg is much different than a fucked up back. The back requires treatment and rest.Gouge93 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 26, 2022 9:27 amI vote this. If Perry is getting treatment of course he is going to stay in NYC.
Let's not get carried away with crazy speculation again.
If Perry plays the next show and is jumping around go ahead and speculate.
On a side note does she really have to bring the dogs on tour? What an inconvenience. Flying with them. Having the bus pull over so they can shit. Finding luxury hotels that allow dogs.

That’s hilarious. I actually thought it was pretty cool that she had the dogs with her. That band is that level,it’s probably not an issue to bring a couple of dogs. I would….
Re: Official Spirits On Fire tour thread
If it's a fucked up back, great. Most of us would sympathize. But why not offer ANY details? It's just weird and unlike any other major touring act.creep wrote: ↑Wed Oct 26, 2022 4:25 pmA broken leg is much different than a fucked up back. Re: Official Spirits On Fire tour thread
Dan is giving information about the tour situation only to subscribers on his patreon podcast site, nice.
Re: Official Spirits On Fire tour thread
To get the scoop you probably have to get the "Make it Rain" subscription for $29/month (that's canuck bucks)

Re: Official Spirits On Fire tour thread
I don't think this clip has been shared here yet, this follows the Josh Klingon Three Days performance, with Mt. Song (great intro; wicked solo; BVs from Troy), Daniel Ash coming on for Jane Says (nice atmospherics from Troy, again), followed by Slice of Life (Navarro must be gutted to have missed that), and then into Ted. I mean, I don't think they've had this much enjoyment AND reverence for their own contribution to rock music for 30 years.
It's surreal how much mojo there is, I'm finding it hard to believe there was this much gas in the tank! * Goosebumps *
If these were the last shows they ever did, it wouldn't make a bad epitaph. I hope Perry doesn't lose his new-found love for the old girl and gets back in the ring with the same passion

God I hope they bring this to the UK next year _/\_

go to 20:12
for some reason they don't want to say what the accident was. Is it embarrassing or maybe more serious??? maybe some day we will find out.

Next stop on the tour is Cleveland -tomorrow night!
Other than that pic Etty posted of herself and the dogs on Instagram the other day, I haven't seen anything.
Not to start a new round of speculation, but I have to ask, do you guys think JA will perform tomorrow?

Re: Official Spirits On Fire tour thread
I was literally coming here to ask the same question. They play St. Louis on Tuesday and I'm going (or think I'm going as of this moment), so a bit curious if they play tomorrow or not.

Same. I plan in going to STL if they actually end up playing tomorrow. I am waiting until Monday to decide.
Re: Official Spirits On Fire tour thread
So I wrote to Wells Fargo Center (Philly arena) via email about a refund and they didn't answer......a few days back there was a survey about the arena which I answered honestly......I noticed yesterday on my CC statement there is a credit for the amount of the full ticket price.
Will gladly purchase tix again for Philly but will be super vigilant before driving down next time!
