So I guess we’ll see if the band can sustain the remainder of the tour.

I’m glad I sold my tickets for Toronto. However, had it been the full original lineup cancelling, I would’ve been fucking pissed. I can live without seeing Jane’s of the Stone Age.
I enjoyed the Pumpkins' set a lot more than I expected to. They've put a lot of money and effort into the set and a sort of Brechtian thing with a giant screen + series of those curtain-LED-screen things you can see through, behind the shoegazers that created a pretty cool very different vibe for each song. If it had been an amphitheatre, I probably wouldn't have gone. But I had awesome seats (100 level, centre stage, just behind the floor.

The funniest part was Billy singing perfectly in sync with the music video for that new song, with a giant version of himself also singing it in the video. Very odd effect, but made that song more tolerable.
Hype, I saw the SP reunion tour at the ACC in 2018 when they only played material from the first five albums (1991-2000). It was absolutely amazing! Elaborate set design with super cool video presentation. They’ll never top that for me; especially now because Billy is making the audience endure the new crap in between the classics.

He actually sounds amazing here too. I’m really doubting there was an injury, much less one that was remedied with like a week of physical therapy.

Too bad he's dressing like a douche again.

Also, the injury was probably to Etty.

They’ve not played “Kettle Whistle” live with Eric since 1989!

Holy shit- why couldn’t they do this in 2009

They better play this with Dave next year (who’s smoking cigarettes even though he has long Covid)

Can you post another link? This just takes me to some dude’s profile.

And wow - this certainly helps make up for the weirdness of the past week.

Looks like that was the only surprise in the set list.

https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/janes-ad ... ee9b3.html

Still, hopefully we'll FINALLY get a tour next year with all 4 original members with some rarities played.

Pretty awesome they played Kettle Whistle, but I'd rather another song be cut than Up the Beach. That's like canon as the opening song of all sets. I'll quit my selfish bitching :lolol:

edit: I hope things hold together for new music and a new tour. There's so much right about this tour and the fact they're opening is really frustrating. JA switching up a setlist and playing old jams, bringing out special guests, EA playing with real deal fire, EA and Perry getting along. I'm afraid I'm gonna wake up one day and this was all a dream.

Unexpected and Perry sounded fantastic.

Shocked and excited.

Jubilee tour opened with Kettle. I wish they had done this is Cleveland. But it's a really great pull.

I saw Another Soulmate live at Jones Beach. I think they played it a couple of times.

I'd like to see a Slow Divers opener.

I saw them do that on the Rockstar Energy Drink your.

I’m much happier with Kettle Whistle .

I listened to the re-recorded version last night and it’s insane that Flea didn’t play the original baseline

And Dave hates us for playing a role in Panic Channel being poorly accepted by the Jane's community. We've always called it like it is. Only Pete ever respected that.
That's not what Dave hated.

He hated that he put in the time, money, and effort to set up a fan community just to have you guys show up and be like "Fuck you. You suck. Perry rules!" and he thought that if you felt that Perry was so much better then you should just hang out in the fan community that Perry set up. Except Perry never did that for you.

That's what he hated. That his kindness towards the fans was the very method you used to shit on him while Perry did fuckall for you.

And if you don't believe that, then I am happy to post the sound clip from Camp Freddy Radio where he said exactly that.

You don't just get to make things up years later, Hoka. Some of us have receipts.
