One of my earliest JA message board memories was reading the infamous NETSLAM that EJ pulled on someone. I can't remember who it was. I recall various people like 8secondburnout, Satansgopherboy, Paints, janesaw, amongst others.

Ps. If Dave is tripping on anything it’s that everyone is reinvigorated including ya’ll fan boards while he isn’t part of it!!! .. If I was him, I would feel a little bruised, and in my feelings!! .. How quickly they forgot me!! Including his biggest disciple 6767 😂
Well yeah. What 40 year old white guy fucking cares about graffiti? I wouldn't have even given a fuck about that when I was 20.

🤷🏻‍♂️
Hate to be a dick, but Dave… you can do this stuff while playing music. No need to be a full time Banksy.

Frusciante tried to pursue his passion project full time and he eventually realized that playing in RHCP isn’t the worst thing in world

Adolf, EroticJesus, killyourself, brinn, skorb, bishop, miggy etc.
from my bad memory..

adolf-pretty sure he has an account here
eroticjesus - legal issues
killyourself and brinn got married
miggy - dead
First of all, just incredible institutional memory on display here. I lurked every site on the list, but was not a participant until xiola, and even then it was midpoint. Scary to think how much time had passed. I was such a 1.0 snob that I skipped Relapse out of spite. I’d like to think I’ve mellowed, as the sensational emotional arc re: Dave v. Troy indicates. Fuck, this tour was fun. And I still can’t believe my stop was canceled (Portland) the week I’m in LA yet unable to attend the Bowl because reasons. Wild stuff from start to finish. Viva Jane’s.

Wasn't there an infamous fight on one of the boards circa Jubilee era? Where two NYer's were going to meet on a corner and fight lol. Or was that a Jets message board I was on lol.

Recently someone here said that Bishop became a born-again Christian. I don't know if that’s true or was a joke. If it is true, it's not surprising as it would have aligned with his conservative views at the time. Well, I don't really know if he was really conservative, but it came across that way to me.

Wasn't a fan of that era. A lot of cowards behind their screens thinking they're so edgy :eyes: ...writing things they would never say in person.

It was cool when Dave would check in on xiola from time to time.

Were any of the members active on these other boards?

Exactly this. A lot of typical early aughts edge lords and internet bullying.

There was a Brazilian Freakette too!

Sometimelater.com had some Janes stuff after the 2001 Coachella performance, but I think it was just pics, no forum.

I met and hung out with Bishop at the Virginia Jubilee show in October 2001 @ Nissan Pavilion. He seemed liked a nice guy that day.

This, 100%.

A lot of the infamous names from the past being dropped in this thread…I couldn’t stand most of them. Lots of jerks.

Who was the guy on this board that always argued with everyone over stupid shit, left, and then was bragging on the NIN board about how he had heard Embrace the Darkness in full

I'm going to need them to take that lineup (or with Dave) to the same venues they played on the Theater of the Escapists tour this summer.

As those idiots at 2% used to say, that would be mint.

Desperate for them to do some UK dates next year. Then She Did (at 26 mins) is MINT

Troy shared a story on insta confirming that his QOTSA commitments start back up in June.

Aside from March, if Dave isn’t back it will have to be Josh.

Martyn also commented on insta that it was a “great incarnation for the moment” so I’m just really curious what’s going to happen next

Dare I say that I am not missing Dave nearly as much as I had expected I would? Cleveland (or was it Cincy... I have been back and forth between the 2 all summer) show was very solid, I really appreciate what Troy is doing, and he has just gotten better as the tour wore on (stop, bcs were still the weak links by the time I saw them though). And I haven't watched the whole show above, just Then she did... because holy shit they have actually been changing up the setlist a bit on this tour. I kinda got chills, of the non douche variety, glimpses of old Perry and nice things to say to Eric before Jane Says.

If Eric stays... is it possible they could be the best they have been since back in the day with Josh K. And/Or Troy
