They have to clarify Dave’s status with these headlining shows right?
Band members aren’t tagged in the post- safe to say he won’t be there
They just announced all shows for March

They are playing Reno on 3/11. Grand Sierra Resort. Presale tomorrow….
Weird to have a date going live with ticket sales without the full tour announcement.

Honestly, I hope he is not there. Respect, but I can’t imagine it being better these days, with him.

Well, I’m going to go to the Bakersfield one. And, honestly, kind of hoping Dave is not there. If he’s not into it, then why force it. Dave has been entertaining me since I was a kid, going to my first show back in ‘89. I wish him nothing but the best. He’s a fucking RockStar.
Give me a guitarist that is into an interpretation of Jane’s. Super cool with that concept.

LOL at the re-done NS image:
That image was used on the screens at the shows.

"Last year, Jane’s Addiction welcomed back original bassist Eric Avery for their tour with the Smashing Pumpkins. However, guitarist Dave Navarro’s ongoing battle with long COVID kept him off the road, thus preventing a reunion of the band’s classic lineup. Queens of the Stone Age’s Troy Van Leeuwen filled in on guitar for that tour, and as of now, it is unclear whether Navarro will be back for the March shows."
This is ridiculous. Dave or JA has to make some announcement about Dave's status.

While I agree, the band and Dave need to be honest with fans who are paying to see the band. This "is he or isn't he" shit has reached it's expiration date.

Right; they'll probably wait 3 days before the tour starts and make some kind of vague announcement... (sound familiar?)
...seems like Josh is going to take this thing over, right?

The whole thing with Dave has become another shitty twist in their story. It seems unthinkable to say, but I don't really care whether or not he's in. In the cold light of day, it seems absurd to say that. My expectations were minimal when I saw them in SF in November and they blew me away. The only thing to take the shine off that night for me was the shit venue; these dates cure that. If 'Kettle Whistle' and 'Then She Did..." are up for grabs, in amongst the rest of the staples, I'm in. If Navarro graces us (he won't), sure - great - thanks, but EA is all I need to part company with cash for tickets.

Also, what is he trying to accomplish by not acknowledging the band whatsoever? He’s cool with legacy touring but not an opportunity to play with the original lineup and record new music?
As soon as the announcement went up about tour dates he started posting stories- that seemed petty to me

The fact that Dave was cool with touring the hits and has seemingly bailed on a legit reunion and new music — it sucks.
He’s obviously not cool with with Perry or Eric, and or mad about Chaney

No way he’s mad about Chaney..
If anything, it’s pettiness over Eric coming back and him being like.. oh so now I’m supposed to go play that Eric’s back!? he left the band twice. Now I’m going to be the awkward one.
But, it’s unlikely. He just doesn’t seem to be into it anymore does he!? Music I mean. Maybe he’s been waiting for inspiration and excitement to return re: Jane’s .. but it just hasn’t.
It just seems he’d rather hang with his girl and make Art.
When was the last time Dave pushed himself artistically with his guitar playing? Deconstruction. Maybe .. kettle whistle and So What!? Maybe?

There is a barrage of comments asking about Dave all over the band’s social media accounts since this latest announcement. It’s only fair that they be completely transparent; especially after how the last tour was handled in this respect. Fool me once, shame on you…fool me twice, shame on me.
My attitude is more or less “if it’s not all original members, count me out”. It would have to be something very unique…like Daniel Ash filling in or something. I have zero interest in Josh Cringehoffer playing with them.

I just don't really understand all the love Josh Klinghoffer gets as a musician.. and he wouldn't fit the Jane's vibe at all.

He’s not great, just lucky. And probably easy to get along with if you’re not named Anthony Kiedis.

It’s not QOTSA time quite yet, so I hope it is Troy again. Ash will probably be there some, since it’s just the West Coast. Is Josh playing with Iggy Pop now?

All this obfuscation really tests this whole “Eric Avery is a stand up guy” notion.
