Years before Song Yet To Be Sung, Of Course demonstrates Perry's affinity and/or complex feelings for his Jewish roots. The song has a Klezmer feel, with Chassidic niggun (wordless melodies) sprinkled throughout.

Nice to meet a fellow Rick versed in niggunim.

Palladium show is on Dime

Can anyone grab it and throw it in Trading section. I’m useless at setting up an account over there

These are really clear and well balanced sonically, thanks for posting. What a weird, precious situation.

Oh, and Josh’s nearly note-for-note recreation of the first Three Days solo basically cancels out my bitching, so I’m happy to call it a draw with an increasingly fanciful wish that Dave comes back for real.

I’m really hoping he is the only guitar player on the new material. I’d rather have him on every song rather than a few or even sharing duties with Josh/Troy. If he really can’t do it,I’d be okay with Josh on a new record- on paper that should beat Strays and TGEA but still frustrating all 4 can’t get on the same page when it comes to writing

Pretty much where I’m at, but on the other hand, there’s so much power live at the moment, I nearly don’t give af. It’s gonna depend on the material.

I just think it’s ridiculous that we’re at 33 years and counting for the four of them to get their shit together for a proper followup to Ritual. That’s longer than Jim Morrison or Kurt Cobain were on this planet.

I really only want Josh on new stuff if Dave’s not around.

Troy is a great professional player, but I don’t see him creating new stuff that has the essence of Jane’s.

it’s still so weird that this is playing out like it has …

Just got in from the Vegas show. Josh is light years ahead of Troy on these songs. Only song he really didn't have the smoke on was Ted Just Admit It. Everything else was pretty good. Wasn't DN to a tee, but close enough. Here's the setlist:

Up The Beach
Ocean Size
Whores
Had A Dad
Ain't No Right
1%
Then She Did
Obvious
Ted, Just Admit It
Chip Away
Kettle Whistle
Trip Away
Three Days
Mountain Song
Been Caught Stealing

Jane Says
Stop

Perry's like an iron man lately performing all these songs.

I notice theres no more Chris Chaney songs on the setlists. I guess that would be an insult having Eric play those.

Could you imagine being Eric standing rright to the left of Perry while he's singing "when was the last time, you did anything".

Any song from Chaney’s Addiction that wasn’t about Etty, was about Eric.

Bauhaus is one of those bands that ABSOLUTELY does need all four members. The Misfits are another one, drummer aside, so I guess that’s false, actually. Definitely Bauhaus though, yes.
That statement couldn’t be any more WRONG.
Depends on what you want out of a band? The Misfits have had way more members than JA, so I guess I was thinking of “classic” lineups. As you know, JA classic lineup is not the original one either. But the Misfits? Sure I wasn’t there to see them with Manny, Diane, Jim, Franche, Jimi, Rick, Joey, Googy, and sure I am missing a couple of people. I would have given anything to see the Glenn, Jerry, Bobby, Jim lineup, but I am talking about the classic lineup, Jerry, Glenn, Doyle, (and Robo, but…). So drummer aside, because Lombardo is great with them. I don’t know? Did you like all the 90s and beyond lineups? Were they the Misfits to you? All those scabs? Graves, Zoli, Hideous, Dez, yeah Robo did come back, but it was too little too late, Jerry Other, and then Only singing? Please! They need their classic lineup.

Yes True Love was dropped. I stood right at the soundboard and saw the setlist. It wasn't on there at all, so not like they changed their mind.
