Dave's Return?

From Etty. She isn't talking about Chaney is she? It must be Dave.
Another incredible show. Thank you Sydney for your love, you support and your cheers. We are now on a roll, and having the best time up there.
Make it look easy they say. It is easy, when you love what you do, and love the people you are on stage with. No more negativity, no more toxicity.
We cut that one out of our lives, out of the band. This truly is our best tour yet. The love and unity we now share on stage stays with us off the stage: as we travel, as we do outings in the cities together.
The band and the girls have had a dinner together in every city. Next stop: Melbourne.
Anyone have any suggestions for a yummy and fun dinner spot?
Nothing but the best for my girls and the men on that stage.

I mean they have been talking around Dave and giving him space and stuff so — I’m inclined to say this is about Chaney?

Holy shit. It seems hard to believe it’s about Chaney. He was always so quiet and seemed to be the consummate professional. Also, Eric talked about how Perry wanted them both in the band at one point where Chaney would play the songs from Strays and TGEA. This feels like it would have to be Dave, but there have been zero clues that there were any issues like this, and the conversations about him seem to be increasingly positive.
Is there someone else she could be talking about that’s not a playing member of the band but part of the larger “band”?

I do wonder still about Dave’s role in what happened with Taylor and if this all somehow ties back to that? I’m guessing we’ll get the truth at some point.

Perry said he’s meeting with Dave soon, so I’m guessing it doesn’t have to do with him. However, if Dave is still tight with Chris, why intentionally stir the pot?

This is coming from Etty, remember, so it's probably something dumb. Maybe Etty once overheard Chaney mention he'd be in favor of touring without erotic dancers in tow, perhaps even pushing for that. I could see her holding a grudge and labeling him "negative/toxic" because of it.

Looks like it- he likes Dave’s pics and some of his Gf’s content- he’s also been playing royal machine shows and I know Billy Morrison works on the street art stuff
He always struck me as a good soldier though- strange he would complain about the band when he had plenty of other work he could turn to easily

But Chris was MD for Kind Heaven not that long ago. It always seemed like all the guys loved Chris.
I thought these guys were all about reconciling and good vibes now.

Maybe the toxicity he's referring to is just a toxic vibe that's always followed the band. Maybe it doesnt specifically mean a former band mate. It is Etty so who the fuck knows, but just casually reading this, I didn't think it was about one specific person.

That's what I was thinking.
As others have said, it's coming from Etty, so who knows. Perhaps a personal assistant who didn't pack the correct shoes and outfits??

It was probably one of the dance troupe. There's no way Perry would be ok with Etty throwing a band member under the bus like that.
