40+ minutes? Is there anything new or the same old BS ?
I watched it last night while I was dozing off to sleep.
There were some details in there about Perry's first few years in LA, about what he did to get by, that I hadn't heard before. But I also never obsessed about what Perry was doing in 1984 either. I'm sure anyone who read any books about Jane's/him probably already knows these things.
There's really nothing in this video WE don't know. I think this channel is more for the casual music fan.

It’s basically bullets from Saga of a Hypester and Whores. He actually reads quotes and tells stories that were covered in Saga of a Hypester.

Which is known to be quite a bit of bullshit if I remember correctly.
Yeah. Wasn't there a quote from Perry saying that the guy who wrote that thing caused people to erroneously think Perry's real name was "Simon"?
I remember reading that book on an airplane in the mid 90s and having my mind blown Perry’s real name is Simon.

I remember when TGEA came out there was some sort of live stream where the whores book came up. Perry was bashing it hard while Dave and Perk sort of awkwardly sat there and laughed

Pretty sure the author posted here (or xiola.org) when he was still working on it, or almost finished it. Foggy memory.
