My views of all these songs could change in a few days or weeks...but so far, this one sounds kinda forgettable.

kinda liked the chorus, even though i don't like Jane's sounding like U2. mixed feelings on this one.

horrible bridge. horrible verse.

Chorus doesn't fit, but the dreamy, melodic verses are quite classic.

I hate the vocal effects and the fact that he keeps saying curiosity kills... sounds kinda like a very lame duran duran song

Funny you say that. To me, "Twisted Tales" sounds like Duran Duran.

Song would have been way better had Perry replaced the words curiosity kills with anything else, just gets repetitive and isn't catchy.

i dig this song alot. It's fun.

It's a summer driving song (unfortunately released in the fall. great timing Jane's. haha)

I like the verses a lot. Really good, and Perry's vocal approach and melodies are spot on. :thumb:

Going into the chorus, it gets a little more generic and overly built-up, but the second portion of the chorus is a little more successful. I might accept all of it with a few more listens. What bugs me is the multitracked "ooohs" and "aaaahs." I really can't stand that shit. I hate it on Irresistible Force too. It just bugs the shit out of me.

Larry said something about the choruses on the album being good and the verses sucking, but I've felt pretty much the opposite. Then again, Larry likes U2, who have a lot of big sweeping choruses. :noclue:

Moody breakdown with the thumping drum is neat.

Yeah I don't dig the Chorus, but I like the verses. Same with IF. Has a very 80 vibe to it, much like U2/Duran Duran/ even Arcade Fire or TONR. So far, I'm not too into this one.

This is my least favourite. Too chorusy for me. It's a track I would skip over..

I'm actually liking this song right now.

They fucked it up during the bridge (much like in the entire album), but I kinda dug the pop vibe. This song has U2 all over it, with a touch of SYTBS.

I like this a lot. Kind of U2 meets NIN.

Just listened to it again. I like the intro a lot, and I like the song better, but god I hate those "ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhooooooooooo" parts. I feel Perry needs to let the instrumentation breath in a lot of spots on this album.

I like the "look away, look away" part. This is one that's grown on me as the evening has gone on.

I love that part too, the song isn't bad outside of the repetitive CURIOSITY KILLS.

chorus sounds like the YES song "it can happen to you it can happen to me it can happen to everyone eventually"

This one's really pretty good. I don't mind the "curiosity kills" lines - half of the time I think he's actually saying "curiosity thrills," if that makes anybody feel any better. :noclue:
